Awesome watch!!
Great watch. Tough and is completely waterproof. I work outside and have beat and banged it on everything and it still looks new. It gets soaked every day with water and still works great!!! Love this watch!!!!

Nice watch
I purchased this watch for travel because I didn't want to take my Fitbit. I wanted a digital watch, with a back light, a slim profile, attractive enough for daily wear, but not overly expensive since this was for temporary use. After several days of searching, it seemed that Armitron was the only one on Amazon who had products that fit all those criteria. The issue was the mixed reviews. I went ahead and took a chance on theArmitron Sport Women's 45/7012NVSV. I was very pleased with the look and color. The blue was very attractive and the overall size was not too big like most sports watches. I easily followed the setup instructions to set the date and time. I did not use any of the other features. I did accidentally get in the shower with it on and it was fine.My only issue is the band length. I have larger wrists I guess and so anything listed as "women's standard" size for band length is dubious. Someone asked the question about the length and the answer was around 8.25" so I took a chance. The watch fits and I can clasp it on the second to last hole; however, it was more comfortable on the last hole. With it clasped on the last hole, the band that holds the main band down tends to slide off. I am not taking any stars off for this as I don't see this as enough of an issue. I have included pics for reference.I wore this every day for 8 days at 16+ hours per day while in Las Vegas. I cannot speak to the long term durability; however, I saw no signs of failure while wearing this.

One of the best watches I own! Absolutely worth it!
Love love love this watch. I originally bought it to wear only for some upcoming travel and sporting events, but it has ended up being a watch I feel I can wear in just about any setting. It went whitewater rafting in Thailand, ziplining in Bali, it went on a 7-day cycling trip down the length of California and accompanied me through thousands of sweaty miles of training for that ride. It even held up as I hiked up a waterfall with my arms often submerged in water. For almost two years and tons of adventures, this watch incurred not so much as a scratch. All this is to say, don't be misled by its size or price, this watch is incredibly rugged and durable. In fact, its dainty size is a bonus that lends it a sort of elegance missing from most digital watches. I have small wrists and can't stand wearing bulky things on my arms. This watch is comfortable and stylish. I get compliments on it all the time. It's easy to program and has lots of features from a built-in light to two alarm modes (sound and vibrate). It's really everything you want in a watch without a bunch of needless extras. However, I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because, inexplicably and without any warning, the band broke. It hadn't been showing any signs of wear and I hadn't subjected it to any sort of extreme activity for nearly a year. When I looked it over just the other week I was marveling at how it was still in near perfect condition. But then this week the thing just snapped while I was wearing it about town. I tried to repair it but to no avail. I even contemplated finding a way to replace just the band since the watch itself is still in excellent working order. I was pretty heartbroken, so I finally decided to order another. The first watch lasted 2 years almost to the day. I'm hoping the new one, which arrives tomorrow, holds up a bit longer than that.

A constant companion
I'm a big man, but I bought my first of these watches in Navy boot camp back in 2018 or so because I needed something small enough to hide under my sleeve, and I wore it every time I went anywhere and it lasted until 2024 when the band completely disintegrated off both sides suddenly at an arcade. I looked everywhere I could online to find a way to simply repair it with a new band but the cheapest option that could possibly have worked was twice the price of buying a new one.Long story short, I needed a new watch, and I was so satisfied with my first one that I figured anything else would just let me down. I wanted to buy a gold or rainbow one, but it just so happens the classic black and silver was the one on sale, and so now I have a clone of my last one.I have a bit of carpophobia (wrists make me uncomfortable), but I've very rarely had any issue with the band in terms of comfort. The face and housing is small, which is a massive plus, but it doesn't sacrifice any usability and is extremely easy to view in any lighting conditions. Even being a self conscious man I don't feel anyone notices that this is intended to be a women's watch and the black and silver I have goes with every outfit I own.The alarm is adequate, the second time display is useful in niche applications, the stopwatch is great and I use it often. It's supposedly waterproof but I've never had a reason to put it to the test.Overly verbose review, but hopefully my words convey my appreciation and admiration for this specific watch model. If any of my words clicked with you then I would wholeheartedly recommend this watch.

This Watch That Has My Back
I read a review from someone reporting that the version of this watch that had more rubber connecting the watchface to the watchband had broken, and that the stainless steel one was a more sturdy bet.I don't know about the alternative, but my watch is definitely sturdy. It still looks shiny with barely a scratch on it, even though I've put it through a lot. I wasn't expecting a watch to be this good, especially since I'm a poor college student and very frugal. I needed a watch because I always lose track of time, and I tend to be late for things. Now I proudly have a watch tan, because I rarely take this watch off. It's very comfortable, and it can be worn for exercise, lounging around, in a professional setting, and in some dress-up settings. The backlight is cool because the light is in the black of the numbers, not the background. I hope that makes sense. It's very convenient, effective, and unobtrusive to check in a dark room.I've also used this watch as a travel alarm. I wear it to bed, and I can check the time at night by groggily finding and pushing the button on the bottom right. The beeps of the alarm are also not obnoxiously loud- so if it goes off in public it's not too disruptive- but it usually wakes me up just fine.I'm also the type that doesn't like to read manuals. With this watch, that was okay. With only four buttons (one of which only is for turning on the cool backlight), I could figure out how to change the time (with daylight savings time, time zone changes, syncing it with the clocks at school, or making my watch fast after being frustrated with always being late for things). I also figured out how to use the stopwatch, set one or two alarms, switch to 24-hour time or AM-PM time (in Iceland I switched to 24-hour time so I was in sync with the country around me). I am not saying that EVERYONE can figure it out; I'm saying that for the way that I think, I was able to figure it out and get used to it. I use all of the features, and I don't ever feel the need for something that isn't on my watch.Often I forget to take off my watch when I go swimming, when I garden, etc. Luckily, this watch hasn't faltered in any situation that I've put it in. For example:cold New England salt water- swimming, etc.working with compost / with soilthe showerhot tubs (up to 44 degrees Celsius)swimming poolssleepingmudthe Blue Lagoon (in Iceland)Hvergerði (natural hotspring on a small river in Iceland)falling down (which I do a lot because I have narcolepsy with cataplexy)hiking, snowshoeing in New Englandhiking in Iceland (in rain or shine, in hail, in cold, in hot, etc.)I recommend this watch to everyone- whatever age, as long as you can see the numbers on the watch- it's well worth every penny.

My buttons don’t do what they’re supposed to and it has an extra mode :(
I’ve used this brand of watch for as long as I can remember, I used to get them at Walmart. My last one that just broke a few weeks ago lasted me for about 5 years. I had the buttons memorized. I got this watch after looking at my bare wrist for the time for like two weeks and the buttons do not do what they are supposed to and I can’t even change the time. I can’t reset the seconds at all and when I try to change the minutes it’s only one minute behind or 30 ahead because that’s the only two options it lets me switch between. And then there’s another time mode that’s not able to be changed except to military time, that again can’t be corrected. I can’t do much about it at the moment except write a review, I might either return it or look into customer service, idk I fear I may have been scammed with this oneAside from the buttons being wrong and it essentially being useless, I really like the black and silver and it’s the perfect size for my small wrist.

Light strap does not hold up
The watch itself is great, but I’m really disappointed in the longevity of the strap. I got a lighter color and have been wearing it for a little over a month and it is already significantly discolored. I wear it when I shower and swim, so I definitely am not ‘easy’ on it, but it is also marketed as a SPORTS watch’s I would consider only getting these in darker colors because it no longer looks good :(I just missed the return window, otherwise I probably would have exchanged it for a darker colors.

Update - it died
UPDATE: By Oct. 2, my watch just up and died. The light comes on, but there is absolutely nothing on the screen. Nothing happened to it. I just wore it every weekday and put it in my nightstand at night. Very disappointed. To be honest, i really wanted a gold colored Casio watch with the same features. I am a housewife and I wanted a functional watch to remind me of the date, something I could wear doing dishes here and there (water resistant) and attractive. With much of my things in life always being functional, it was abour time to have something nice and pretty to wear, that could cross over into something to be worn dressed up when the occasion might arise. I'm a simple person; i don't want two watches to match outfits. However, the Casio cost $60 and we have one income for me to do what I do, so...$60 is too much money. Why Casio? Because lately everythjng is going for that retro 80s look, and it's nostalgic for me. And would go along well with my new retro leather white Addidas sneakers. LolWell...THIS WATCH also had date & time, and water resistance. I liked the idea of the comfy, sort of soft silicone band. But would it look cheap?I mulled over all the different styles and it was difficult to choose because online, they all look very attractive. So i hit the review section to help me decide. Now, normally silver looks a little "cold" to me but i decided to take a chance on the silver one because it looked most like jewelry and more sophisticated in the monochromatic color scheme.Boy, was I glad I chose it!The watch came very quickly, came set to the proper date and time, is very comfy for all day wear, is easy to read, and yes~I wore it (successfully) hand washing dishes. (I don't think you should submerge it in water though).Being a sahm mom for 20 years you sometines put yourself on the back burner. This will sound stupid and no, i'm not being paid to write this- but I actually do feel better wearing this watch. It's so pretty on my wrist. Also, I have small wrists and the watch is perfect size and doesn't over power me visually. It's great to hsve a normal watch again and not have to keep closing tabs on my phone to see the date and time.

Completely happy
So pleased to find a digital watch that is small enough for my tiny wrist. I love that it comes in lots of colours so I could get the exact colour I wanted. The digits are large enough to read - even without my glasses - a real bonus. Also it is stylish - not like some digital watches that just look clunky. I've had it for 4 years now and it is still going strong. - nothing broken

The only times I take my watch off are to waterski or cement!
Love this watch! In fact, more than 5 years later, this is my second one - exactly the same. The only reason I needed a new one was because the band gave out. The watch itself was still working!I shower with it on. I teach swimming and diving with it on. Paddle-board, kayak, and canoe with it on.For work, I've set hourly chimes to remind me to get up and move - or at least blink. I've set an alarm so I don't miss lunch. Looks good whether I'm at work or at play.I've had watches that cost over $200 that haven't stood up to my active lifestyle nearly as well as this one does.If I had to say anything bad at all about the watch, it would be that the backlight is a dull blue-ish color and a bit hard to read. But that's it. Awesome watch - great price.
