Good quality. Works well.
I bought it to connect my daughter's SUP 400 in One game box to my Full HD monitor. It works great. Just plug and play. No configuration required.

Does not work for LG TVs
This product should be tested with various TV models. While the RCA and HDMI standards are generic, the smart TV OS can cause issues with connectivity. It did not work with LG TV model- SM8600. Created a return request, but getting problems there as well!

Great little problem solver for turntable to soundbar
Recently replaced old home theater with new soundbar which turned out not to have A-V RCA connectors for input. This was a problem for my phono turntable. But the soundbar did have an available HDMI input. This RCA to HDMI adapter solved the problem. I did not need the yellow (video) RCA connector since I was concerned only with audio (red/white) so cannot speak to video capability/quality. You do need to provide your own L/R (red/white) RCA cable. The power cable is only a USB cable, one end standard USB, the other mini-USB - think Android phone or Kindle. But you have to provide your own power block to plug into electrical outlet. The provided cable is short, maybe 18-24". You could easily substitute with an extra unused USB power cable floating around in your junk drawer. Also, my turntable had a pre-amp built in so that was not a problem in my situation. Overall, very pleased - easy to set up, worked great, problem solved.

It Really Works
My husband is a fanatic for old systems and playing games on their original system. IE the reason we have become game collectors. Anyway, he finally got his hands on a SNES that fit my standards for purchasing but we had the trouble where our TV could not convert the game images properly where the screen did not shake. I figured that this would fix it because it would work like my old VCR did when I was growing up, my husband on the other hand - who never experienced the through VCR method - was doubtful. When it came today he was wary of the lag between the controller and the TV but low and behold I was correct and there was nothing there. It ran perfectly fine with no interruptions or lag. The screen is even blue like my VRC was back then when you start it up. Hands down solved our problem and my husband is ecstatic. One side note though, I don't know if it is with all of them or just ours, but the 1080 and the 720 were switched. You can tell though because it will tell you on the TV which one you are actually using which is how we found out. Husband had it set on 1080 but when we turned it on it stated it was set to 720. So that is something to keep in mind. Anyway if you are having the same problem we did where your TV just can not upgrade from the original 240i to 1080p than this will fix it for a pretty cheap price.

Know what you want beforehand. I have a 50in and a 65in 4ktv...
Things you must know first about this review. I have a 65 inch Sony x900f television. I can't seem to get the yellow video port to work for my old school systems. I really would have liked to have played my GameCube mostly, but also my PS2 and original Xbox. I do know that such a large screen, and today's technology for games, versus the picture technology of that generation of game systems are a mismatch. I somehow convinced myself that the picture might be a little blurry but would still work well. But I was wrong. It was really easy to just plug the HDMI into my television. Yes, the cord is very short to make it to an outlet but the length was decent enough for my setup but many people will probably need a longer one. That much is true. Also the switch from 720p to 1080p is easy to get to. And although it is plastic, for something that's just going to sit behind stuff, it worked well. It actually hangs from the back of the TV but it's so light that I don't expect it to cause any damage to the port that it is plugged into. However, the picture is very blurry and the Sony TV I have does not have a function that shorten's the screen space on my television. So, the full screen option on my television does not shrink the picture screen short enough to eliminate much of the blur. So this absolutely will not work for any of my previous generation systems before the PS3. I took this thing to my Vizio 50 inch M57 television. It did look better on the smaller screen but still, it's kind of too blurry to really play. No Matter What settings I use. I even have a Gameboy Advance player hooked to my GameCube. That would not play at all on the Sony TV but it came through on the Vizio TV. However, my Vizio's composite video panel works on my Vizio TV and I wound up using that, thereby not needing this converter at all. This works well for what it's supposed to do, display an image on a television through an HDMI port. But it will not do any actual conversion. But I knew that going into this. I just couldn't say for sure what it would look like until I could see it for myself. I imagine a picture would look much better on a much smaller screen. Maybe 40 inch or smaller. Something that was not 4K. I don't have anything like that so I will just hang onto this in case I ever come across something I could use it for in the future. The rating for this is because the product does exactly what it is intended to do. And is not an actual signal converter. Just a signal transfer. I can't give it a bad score because I know what this product is supposed to do. But you should be aware that if you want a picture that is nice, crisp and clean, this will not convert the old digital format into that. It won't look crisp and clean. I believe that technology still does not exist nowadays. I know a couple high-end ones will do what I was hoping for but I still don't want to spend that much money and I know they still have some flaws even with the latest technology. But perhaps in the next year or two this will finally come together for what we're looking for, at least those of us hoping for a clear image. To sum this up, this will produce a signal through an HDMI port on your television but it will not clean up any older video game systems. If you get this and have a smaller television you probably have a much better looking picture. The smaller the screen size the less noticeable the pixels and blurriness are. But for at least a 50 inch Vizio M57 and a Sony x900f, both 4K TVs, this won't do the job.
