Pyramex Ridgeline Full Brim Vented Hard Hat 4 Point Ratchet Suspension

I purchased several of these hats for my family. We are volunteering for disaster relief & needed to update our PPE. This is an essential piece of equipment and these are well made. The color makes a difference in pricing but I’m not sure why. I got the black matte one for my husband and his was nearly twice as expensive as mine which is this safety green color. I like the color on this hat. It’s easy to find me on a site! Very bright just as shown. The hat was easy to put together - comes in two pieces and you just snap in the inner strap for your head. It adjusts to a comfortable fit with the ratchet system to tighten or loosen it. I have a pretty small head but it wasn’t a problem for this hat. We prefer this vented model because in the warmer months your head can get warm in them and the vents at the top help get the heat out. The hats are lightweight even though they provide good sturdy protection. That was another important feature for me since I have neck issues sometimes and can’t be wearing a heavy hat. These are exactly what we were looking for - in fact my husband was so proud cuz he said usually the foreman gets to wear the hat with the full brim lol We’re pleased with these and I’m sure we’ll get good use of them. I’ve already recommended this hat to other volunteers on our team.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, construction helmet, then this is probably the one for you. It fits really well and is adjustable. It’s decently comfortable and does the job.

4.5 stars. I'm a noobie. so I had difficulty figuring our how to attach the head suspension assembly to the 4 insertion sockets located in the interior of the helmet. The Step 1 diagram (on the plastic bag) is not large or descriptive enough to show the correct orientation of the connectors, so I took off 1/2 star for the rating. Otherwise, I'm glad I purchased this full brim Ridgeline helmet. It's comfortable, has a good fit, and is substantial. The ratchet dial for adjust ti your head size dial works great. I feel this helmet is far and away a superior helmet to the basic 3M helmets you can purchase at Lowe's/Home Depot/Amazon.

This is not safe! The straps don’t stay clipped in and is a safety hazard. There are sticky marks on the front like it had a sticker on it previously and someone else bought it and removed it and then returned it. These clips on the straps do not clip in tight and if something hit you at work the helmet would fly off. Not safe

I hate wearing hard hats but this one is super comfortable, light and easy to adjust. Highly recommend.
