Hydraulic timing chain and cam phasers tool
Worked great for changing the rockers lifters and camshafts in my Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6l pentastar

Money well spent. Made the job easy.
This set worked perfect. Had the famous "penstar tick" and after doing some research, purchased this set. Did the left side rockers and the exhaust cam. Did the right side rockers the next day and now the engine is quiet as a mouse. Tip for the right(passenger) side; Lube up the outer edge of the slide that relieves the pressure off of the timing chain. Makes it much easier to relieve it. Money well spent. A $3500 job was only $45 total, including this kit and a trip to the salvage yard.

Good value
Tensioner holder 10369A broke easily when trying to install it. The rest of the kit worked good.

Could be better.
Hmm. I think this could be better. The idea is great. Here is the good: They do seem to fit as expected. The phaser wedges fit tightly and keep the timing locked in place. The wire tension release works as expected. The Bad: The wedget for pushing the tensioners back do not work as they do not stay in place, and unless you have another person helping, it's no use.The ugly: The plastic feels like ABS and is too soft against the sharp edges of the gears and bolts. It shreds the plastic on the right side of the engine. The front of the van is labeled as the left side of the engine. That wedge slides behind the intake phaser and you are supposed to use the wire to release the ratchet mechanism - that works but you also have to hold it in place too. The rear or the right side of the engine is difficult to access and the chain tension release just does not work. The plastic is too soft and twist easily even with a wedge on the internal hinge of the tensioner. Not on either engine. It doesn't have to either.I did two vehicles back to back and by the second one I found I didn't even need the tension items. They didn't work well. I used a piece of flat steel about 4x1x .125" as leverage and and used the edge of the head to lift the phasers back in place onto the cams. It worked and was faster.

Simplified my engine repair
Great product. Using this simplified releasing the tension on my timing chain, and kept the timing phasers aligned.

Works as expected
Does exactly what need to be done. Good fit to lock the cams an whatever else you need to do in there. I needed it for the rocker arms on my 3.6 pentastar in a jeep an made it easy an less stressful.
