Simple to install and just works brilliantly and NO flickering at any setting. Brilliant.

This is a dimmer for LED bulbs, but of course the LED build itself need to be the dimmable type - not all are. Dimmable LED bulbs have special electronics in them which allow them to be dimmed. If the bulbs were cheap, chances are they won’t be dimmable - the packet should say dimmable. Anyway, the dimmer works well. I just didn’t like the front knob - cheap plastic. I’ll probably end up buying a better quality knob separately. Happy with my purchase overall and would buy again.

I’ve tried loads of these dimmers (many don’t work very well) but this is the best yet. Easy to install - the grub screws are a sensible size and strong - and the body is small so it installs easily. The shaft is not too short so it will fit my existing pattresses. Doesn’t flicker.

Good news - it dims without noise or flicker and perfectly fits my existing fascia. Bad news, my push on-off sticks - the knob does not pop back out on its own. Also, it is nice that I can program the min brightness. Not so good that I cannot do this for the max brightness. The problem is that my LEDs cut in late and attain max brightness long before the max point of the dimmer such that the meaningful throw of the knob ends up being quite narrow. Will need to change the thing for a non-sticking replacement. EDIT: Got the replacement. Felt good out of the box. After provisional mounting (for testing before tightening everything up), push action works. As I tighten up the washer nut, the push action suddenly starts to stick again. So, the problem appears to be that you must not tighten that front washer beyond, well, finger-tight. (The original dimmer seems to confirm that diagnosis. Now out of the wall, the push action no longer sticks.)

I had an electrician doing work in the house who fitted this today, lights came on fine, dimmed up and down fine, after 30 seconds the mcb tripped - no longer works. Will check for a refund.

got 2 of these to replace an old dual dimmer plate. works perfectly with the new led dimmer bulbs. these are trailing edge from 3w to 100w which will for practically all led dimmerable bulbs. the modules was just slightly too large as the old ones had the control knob stalk off centre. it was a easy fix. i had to file down the screw lug on the backbox to fit it in. recommended. but make sure your front plate will take 2 of these. i will be ordering more for my single dimmer switches.

Bought this to replace two old-style halogen dimmers when I converted to LEDs. Dimmers work really weell, and the setup (for setting the minimum brightness) is easy and effective. I’d give it five stars, but I feel I need to deduct one because of a failure. One of the circuits I was replacing was 12v, driven through a magnetic transformer. I know the description says it requires an electronic transformer, but I tried it anyway. It worked great - for a few minutes, until the switch fritzed and it stopped dimming at all. A new transformer (and a new switch) fixed the problem, but I really don’t understand why they couldn’t have added some surge protection. Anyway, decent product, good price. Follow the instructions, and it works well.
