Umm, thank you!!!
Once upon a time... nope can't do it, to cliche. Starting over...it all began one fine spring day in March. I was dilligently looking for something, anything really, to make my DIY projects easier. When I stumbled upon this gem. As I do with most purchases, I read the inner thoughts of those who have purchased the item before me. I took a chance, hoping that it would live up to my lofy expectations. I wouldn't say it was love at first sight, more like love at first use. Composite siding - challenge excepted. Wood trim- done. Backer board - easy breezy, and soft metal edging (different blade) - completed. After the completion of each project, in which this saw was needed, my kids would hear me utter these seven little words, " I am in love with this tool". They were humored by my proclamation, as they thought I was joking. But seriously, don't question a woman and her power tools. If you haven't gathered from this long winded review, this saw is amazing, not perfection as the laser light has a short life span. But, a worthwhile saw to have in the tool shed.

Pretty good little saw
When I opened the box I wasn't impressed - just too much plastic. I understand it was to save weight and after a bit of use I began to appreciate it. The saw worked like a champ in rebuilding my lumber and composite deck. I was impressed. I would categorize it as a light-to-medium duty saw. There are a couple of nuances I found frustrating ... at times the saw would just quit (thermal or load cutout?). But I figured out this was indicative of the battery needing to be charged. I would rate the battery life as average (maybe a couple hours if used every 5-10 minutes). Lastly, cutting bale management was a challenge in tight quarters. Pulling the bale back to get a cut going turned it into a two-handed tool.

Great Product for the Price
My expectations for this cordless, mini-circular saw was somewhat modest based on the price. But I've been pleasantly surprised at its performance. Provides a good straight line and cuts quite easy through thinner woods. It struggles a bit with thicker hard woods. The battery seems to run low quickly, but it recharges fast. It would be nice to have a backup battery, but of course that would increase the cost. Based on my experience so far - I would buy it again.

that this particular compact circular saw is total junk
I've owned this saw for only about a year with minimum use, I am being dead serious I've only used it 3 times on slight light weight jobs and it clunked out in the middle of a home project and left me stranded, the housing is made of hard plastic painted to look like its metal but (NOT) I was only cutting a piece of 3/8 ply wood which is very thin and at first it kept stopping on a full charge then it did a kicked back and never worked again, and now i want my money back so with this being said don't waste your time... If you're wanting to purchase a good hardcore compact inexpensive circular saw get the corded (BAUER) brand from harbor freight it's red and black with lots of power and made of true metal, I own one now and that thing is a monster even for commercial use it's only $59.95 until 3/3/22 for the monthly sale.

Cool mini saw for small projects around the house
Perfect mini saw to do small projects around the house. I’m using it for trim work so I don’t have to go out to my miter saw every other minute. It is possible to get some accurate cuts with this but it takes effort and concentration. It is loud but not as loud as full size circular saws. It has a small light that illuminates your work surface somewhat.Other than that it is easy to use. Flip the safety button and pull the trigger and you're in business. It will be fun to see how long this battery holds up being that it’s not a major brand name. It does look like a similar connection to one of the brands though. Will update if anything changes.

Not a precision cut.
I bought this saw and I agree with almost all of the positive comments. BUT.....my saw cannot to set to a true 90 degree cut. It is off by 2 or 3 degrees and was clearly manufactured that way. Even for rough framing the angled cut on a 2 x 4 would be obvious. Except for this major flaw, I like the saw a lot but because it has the manufacturing flaw, I am returning it.Update. I had this saw delivered to me in Colombia. Amazon has no way for me to return the saw for a refund. They are sending lots of packages to Colombia without having a process in place to have some of those items returned. This is not a good move on Amazon's part. I have spent a lot of time with chatting with people who could not help me at all. So I am stuck with a saw that is really unusable and Amazon will do nothing about it.Update. I was contacted by the seller who offered to make things right with me. Unfortunately the saw is on the way back to Amazon. When Amazon settles with me, I will include a further update.

Handles hours of use without any issue
Since we are all home, I am taking on a lot more projects with my car and with woodworking. I’ve been using this to chop up two by fours for the last several days without any issues. Honestly I’m tempted to take it with a ceramic blade and use it to help chop off a muffler and add a straight pipe! That being said I feel like this compares pretty well to my Ryobi. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again as the pricing really put it above any of my other options. I would say now I’ve probably used it for about 20 to 30 hours without any issues

Good saw ... A couple little quirks.
Used this saw to cut the odd shapes needed when installing vinyl laminate flooring. Overall the saw worked well. The thing both my son and I noticed was that the way you gripped the saw made it difficult to let go for the saw to stop. It was awkward to release your hand enough to stop the saw but also keep the saw in your hand. Also the laser light works independent of the saw. You have to turn the laser light on and off manually, which means it can easily be left on and kill the pill batteries that power the laser. They did not last long and I have yet to take the time to order new ones. A bit inconvenient. Overall it is a good little saw.
