Additionally, it is only applicable for this vehicle if it were built with Federal Emissions from the factory and would not be compatible with this vehicle if it were built with California Emissions from the factory.

does it matter which way it's attached? there aren't any arrows or "in" - "out" markings

It is uni-directional, but a Walker rep told me in email that it should be installed with the part number side down, with the beginning of the number toward the front of the vehicle.
