Does it work when car is off? And how much time can I use it before it kills my battery?

Its up your power outlet set up on the car if it will work when its off. My truck has outlets that do and some that don't. as far as battery life again its up the health of your battery but I don't let mine run longer than 45 mins to an hour before starting the truck again for a while. Keep in mind that your 4 ways should be on if your strobes are on.

How long is the cord ? I do not see it anywhere on the ad .

I don’t have an exact answer but my best guess would be 10 ft. I was able to conceal the cable from the center of my dash to the roof of my truck with about three feet left to spare.

Night delivery driver. Can I use to alert if unable to find the home? legal?

It's plenty bright to alert passing motorists but I'm not sure if people will see it when they are inside. Esp if they have their drapes or blinds closed.

Can I remove the wire to feed through a small hole?

Considering that this is a weather tight unit I would caution that any modifications to the wiring might be risky and will certainly void any warranty. Just make sure it's sealed very well.

Bright and great value

Very bright, great quality.

Light is super easy to use, and is very bright. The magnets to mount it to the roof are very strong and I was able to leave it mounted to the roof and drive 75mph down the freeway without issue. Overall very impressed with the quality and usability

Switch went bad

No issues or complaints with it, but after two years the power/control switch (12 volt cig. lighter plug-in) went bad.... so I looked on the company website and never saw a replacement. So I just had to buy another complete unit... If the company sees this or if anyone reading this knows where I can get the switch where I can just splice it into the old light, that would be great, rather not have to throw the old unit out...

What an awesome light!

So much value for the money!! It’s super bright! I bought it because my old light had a short cord on it and I wanted the cord to better hidden and out of my way. This is super long. You can leave it plugged it because it has an on/off switch. My old one did not have that. It’s great. Multiple light settings also.

Light mounted right up and worked great. I wired it up to ignition switch and left yellow wire free, as I can touch yellow wire to positive to change light settings. I also unscrewed the magnet's from the base and bolted directly to the top of utv. Magnet's can be removed by just unscrewing and there's nuts molded into base

tous est bon mais pas excellent. le fils na pas l'air d'aimer le froid et la luminosité est un peut faible pour le jour mais pour le prix je suis satisfait un ans plus tard les lumière ambre on arrêté de fonctionner apprêt environ 50 heurs de fonctionnement. J'ai essayer de les contacter sans succès . J'ai du aller en acheté une autre cher NAPA auto parts. je ne peux recommander cette lumière
