I’ve purchased OI Shampoo many times now, and it continues to impress me. A little truly goes a long way, which makes the bottle last much longer than most salon shampoos I’ve tried. I have thick, fine hair — the kind that usually gets weighed down or looks dull — but this shampoo leaves it sleek, shiny, and soft with zero buildup. It feels luxurious, smells amazing, and keeps my hair looking healthy between washes. The amount of times I get asked what products I use (I don’t use anything other than the shampoo//conditioner and sometimes the Oi spray!) is proof enough! Absolutely worth it.

I was reading some hairstylist and online blogger reviews about the OI shampoo by davines. They were raving about how incredible this line is and my daughter uses the heart of glass which I like a lot. Then everybody kept raving about how incredible it smells. I just received my Amazon shipment today and I am hooked I will never use another shampoo and conditioner again! This is the best shampoo and conditioner that I have ever found it is so perfect for my thick yeah fine hair that tangles easily and it’s hard to brush through after I get out of the shower. I totally get what they say about the smell I could be then the stuff it smells so delicious . I would wear it as perfume if they made it! But even more importantly you only have to use a tiny bit I have medium long hair and it’s very thick and I typically have to use five pumps of any other shampoo to make sure that I get clear to the scalp and scrub. Just a tiny bit goes a long ways and your scalp and hair feel so good after shampooing it washes out easily doesn’t leave a residue. I ended up getting the 0I butter conditioner and use maybe a dime size started at the ends of my hair and just that small amount was more than enough I left it on for about two minutes And then rinsed it out and oh my goodness I am in love I love the way it rinsed out of my hair again no residue but left it soft and so hydrated I literally could feel how good it was for my hair all the way to my scalp. I thought well here’s the true test trying to get a brush through it after I take my towel off… It was amazing easily to brush through but then I thought OK I know how this ends. Any time I’ve ever used shampoo and conditioner that makes my hair soft and easy to comb through it typically blow dries and although it’s super soft it’s too soft it won’t hold a curl and is just silky. Wow was I surprised when I blew dry my hair and it stayed hydrated and full without any frizz and its styles so nice I can’t explain how much I love this product I will never buy anything else. I have been using this shampoo for several years and it's the best I have found for me. I have fine, more on the thin but not to thin hair. I'm in my 50s and very much a less is more person. I use the shampoo every other day (unless I need daily) and can condition each time. I agree the scent is strong, I'm somewhat sensitive to scents. After I used is for a couple weeks I was used to it. I ask all my friends if the scent lingered or smells bad and they all liked it. So don't be worried, the after dry hair scent is ok. I love how my hair feels clean and looks great, I feel like I don't need to add a bunch of other products to look good. I have even started using the bodywash and my skin isn't all dry and flaky looking like it is with store brands. The bottle is small but it goes a long way, very thick and rich. I tend to pour out too much on all their products but it's easy to put back so you're not wasting. I keep it on auto ship because it works so well. My daughter in laws love it too, 1 has curly long thick hair, the other is a little wavy thick hair. It's great for xmas stocking stuffers.

I got a sample of this in a subscription box and decided I liked it well enough to buy it in full size. I've been using it for a few days, along with the conditioner from the same product line, and I am really happy with it. For reference, I have waist-length, Caucasian-textured, color-treated hair. It is somewhat dry from frequent shampooing (I work out a lot, plus it is summer and hot where I live) and from the color-treatment. It has a naturally-wavy texture and tends to pick up a lot of frizz due to local humidity. I mostly look to conditioners, hair masks, and other treatments to handle frizz, and I look to shampoos to get my hair clean. Honestly, I think this actually *is* helping with the frizz a little. But more importantly, it does a good job of getting my hair clean. I've been trying a lot of shampoos lately and this one has a good consistency/viscosity. It is actually possible to distribute on my scalp (I usually only wash the roots, not the ends of my hair) and work up a decent lather without too much effort. But it does also rinse out cleanly. This has a scent similar to the conditioner from the same product line (I might describe it as warm, and possibly containing sandalwood and/or amber, but those are pure guesses on my part). I happen to like the scent so that works for me. I have changed it to a more current one. This contains some silicones but no sulfates. The only thing I don't love is the bottle. I prefer shampoo containers with the caps attached in some way. It is easy to drop this one and of course you don't want to knock the bottle over, because then a lot of product would spill out. However, the performance is so good that I will find a way to deal with the unattached cap.

i got the smallest versions of the shampoo and conditioner to try. banana for scale. i have medium-thick density, wavy, virgin hair, with medium porosity. it is just below shoulder length. i struggle with moisturizing products because my strands are quite fine. my scalp is pretty dry but no dandruff issues so can't speak on that. usually i opt for a moisturizing curly line, but often they're too heavy for my hair, so i chose to try this first to get a baseline view on their products. a little bit goes a long way with this stuff. but it's sort of annoying with this small bottle, because there's no pump or anything, it's hard to control how much you get. it smells very good. the first thing i noticed was how good it smells. the scent is a little strong, so if you're sensitive to that i would skip this shampoo. it makes my hair squeaky clean. genuinely, when i rinse it out, it squeaks. it does leave my hair feeling a little rough and i don't think the conditioner can bring it back from that. this pair doesn't do much for my waves. leaves lots of frizz and that weird dry rough layer on top. overall, i think it's a good shampoo, but not for someone with my hair type. i am curious to see if the moisturizing version works better for me. if you have straight, low maintenance hair this would probably work really well.

Coming from a connoisseur of luxury shampoo’s and has had as many as 8 different ones in the shower at one time. Quite surprise how it resets your hair for the next blow dry. I don’t have a lot of things but I’ve always had great hair and as shallow as that might be if I’m described that’s usually one of the first 3 things people say about me. Insecurity breeds over compensation and my “illusion” and appearance I learned a lot about hair. The smell, … a little vanilla and lavender scent would help but it’s not bad at all. Chemistry is in everything we use in life. But my hair doesn’t smell like it after my shower. Washing my hair with it even without conditioner it doable. My styling and end results are better than anything I’ve used in 5 years hands down. If you understand the science of what happens to hair day to day and doing different styles from flatirons to rollers this REALLY did reset my hair to neutral or it’s default better than many many perfumed shampoos. I am looking for a large volume container of this at a good price because I am definitely adding this one to my arsenal. So far I’ve used it everyday since I got it and nothing but great results. I’ll use something else to mix it up:later if my hair starts to yawn and not respond as well but so far nothing but kudos. Pssst, it really could use a hint of something really light like a vanilla or something fragrance. As is I’m fine with it just saying.

I absolutely love this shampoo. Although pricey, the smell is incredible and lasts for days and I really feel like it cleanses my hair better than any shampoo I’ve ever used. A small bottle but a little goes a long way!
