Licorice in 1 Kilo / 2.2lb Bag - Venco Limburgse Katjes Drop Sweet (Holland Lakritze Black Cat Kittens Licorice)

I LOVE licorice. I used to get these licorice cats when I lived in Germany, and these don't disappoint. These are fresh and chewy, and have an expiration date of 2024. However, these have a 5% content of licorice extract, and could cause drug interactions with certain prescription drugs. I take a low dose of blood pressure meds, and these could cause a problem according to drug interaction info found. I will have to eat these in moderation which will be so very hard to do when they taste so good.

I just love Katjes drop and this satisfies me like there is no tomorrow! Great taste!

Kudos to the other reviewers! This is the genuine delicious taste of licorice that I was looking for. You guys are awesome :-)Shame on the seller! The product was dry and brittle on the outside. It's still moderately ok on the inside--and it's likely the candy is ruggedly chewy if properly fresh--but having to crunch through dry, stale stuff to get to the chewy part is. If this is really how the product was meant to be, texture-wise, then let this be a heads up to other American customers: this is a radically different mouth-feel from what we're used to in candy, and you may, like me, find it highly unpleasant.

I’m addicted to licorice. A lot for the $. _ it is a bit chewy so that’s why it’s 4 stars for me. But I found that if it’s warmed a little - like in my pocket, it’s just right.

As it turns out, licorice in a one kilo bag tastes just as good as from a puntzak :-)
