Communicate with your baby with more than 200 ASL signs! Did you know that babies and toddlers can understand sign language well before they can speak? This creates an exciting way for them to learn and communicate at an early age. The Complete Guide to Baby Sign Language walks you through a huge variety of American Sign Language (ASL) signs that you and your little one can learn together. Start things off with the essentials―like "eat," "potty," and "all done"― then move on to everyday signs for specific toys, foods, people, and even emotions. Illustrated and easy to use ―Each sign in this baby book includes an image and written steps to show you how to sign it correctly, along with tips for how to remember it and use it consistently with your child. 200+ signs ―Go beyond other baby books on sign language with signs that cover everything from mealtime and bedtime to travel, play, and school. Signing at every stage ―Discover how signing can be an indispensable tool for communicating with babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs―even before they're able to sign back. Find new ways to connect with your child with this comprehensive guide to baby sign language. Review: Wonderful pictures and tips for signing - I have the Kindle edition which is especially useful when visiting my new grandkids so I can quickly pull up a sign. I find the amount of signs, graphics and descriptions very useful, practical and easy to follow. Wish we had baby signs back in the day with our kids. What a breakthrough in communicating with nonverbal infants! However, one nit picky item is no signs in the book for grandma and grandpa. I have to bookmark another site for that. A glaring oversight but still highly recommend this updated work by Rebelo. And you get several extras like free videos of all signs, printable charts of signs as quick reminders, and other goodies. How cool is that? Review: Very Nice - What an awesome way to learn how to sign. I feel this is so important for kids to learn

Concisely breaks it down, very helpful
Straight to point: Easy to follow Concise details Breaks down what to look for/ when to use and how to do it Would recommend Loving this book, dound it super helpful, it not only breaks down how to do the signs in concise details. It also tells you what your child might do and when is a good time to use the sign like it advised against use "more" sign while feeding the baby due to them confusing sign to mean eating. It also explains how many to do and which ones to start with. This is almost as good as having a video show you. I had originally went looking for an app on my phone but this book is better than apps and videos I have found. I have no current complaints. I would recommend this.

Perfect for Baby Shower
I am personally learning ASL 'just because'. I have heard how this helps baby's communicate before they can speak clearly. I think it is a fantastic idea! What a great 2nd 'language' to learn early.

Good illustrations
I have a mentally disabled daughter who has no speech but hears really, really well! And she loves babies! She communicates by signing, pointing and nodding her head yes or no. I gave this to her when she came with us to the cottage the end of June. By mid July the book was already needing to be duct taped back together. She didn't go anywhere without it, even slept with it. She was constantly opening it and pointing to pictures, trying to make the sign. A huge success in our house!

Beautiful book
I love the diversity in the images of the children, the inclusivity, the clarity in how to make the signs, and it’s so extensive and easy to find what you’re looking for! Perfect addition to the Tiny Signs online membership!
