Benriner Super Standard Madoline Slicer, with with 4 Japanese Stainless Steel Blades, Almond

This is a great piece of kit. I make a lot of preserves, especially at Christmas time and this mandoline made very light work of 3 kilos of red onions this morning which have now been turned into relish. My old OXO one was years old and, as it wasn’t sharpenable like this Benriner one is, has become dangerous and also just wouldn’t cut onions or tomatoes etc any more. As it is very sharp, you obviously need to use the holder provided or wear a cut glove (as I do). Even so, care is needed just the same as using any sharp blade. I’m very happy with my purchase and think this will last a very long time.

Superb quality and I use it to cut slices for salad or stir fry which is faster, consistent and less hassle than using a knife. However the blade is super sharp, alert all time when using it especially.

I love this mandolin. It works well and is easy to use and clean. The blade is extremely sharp. It easily cuts through carrots (which are really hard). You can easily slice off your fingertips with this mandolin. The safety guard that comes with it isn't great, so I don't use it. You must get a cut-proof glove to use this. Cut-proof gloves come in different grades. Grade F is the most cut-resistant (so the safest), but Grade E or D will be ok. When buying, if it doesn't say the grade, don't buy. And by a branded glove from a trusted source.

I bought this on a whim, and haven't had much call to use it since, but i feel sure once I get the opportunity, I will become an addict! It seems well made and easy to use - easy to follow instructions!

2 kg of carrots chopped and fried in 30 minutes. Could not be happier. Buying a second one for my mum.

It’s fantastic but a shame the attachments are weak and don’t work well. I still use it every day!

Honestly this is the best kitchen implement, it's incredibly useful. We eat so much more raw veg as a result. It transpires that the kids love raw veg rather than cooked - who knew?!!! It's quick , easy and simple to clean. I bought the global knives' protector to store the replacement blades

As authentic a Mandolin as I could find on Amazon. It is of good size and the blade seems high quality, capable of the thinnest possible slices. I have had it over a year and it has stayed just as sharp and it has no staining, the plastic is quite dense and stable. I was so leery of plastic but couldn’t find a good quality wooden one. A quality purchase that will serve for years.

Corta increíble ciertos alimentos, pero por ejemplo un camote al final del corte se rompe la rebanada por la dureza d del alimento, por otra parte es poco estable y me cuesta acomodarla xq se resbala fácilmente

Dopo una solenne fregatura con una mandolina cinese "professionale" in acciaio inox, poco tagliente, complicata da utilizzare e, sopratutto da pulire, questa giapponese è il massimo: semplice, subito pronta, taglia alla perfezione senza sforzo e con precisione. In un attimo si smonta, si lava e si rimonta. Lame di pregio affilatissime e tutte sostituibili (o affilabili). Spero che la mia semplice recensione serva a chi come me cerca un attrezzo da cucina che semplifichi e velocizzi le operazione di taglio. Credo sia ottima anche per i professionisti.

Levaba tiempo detras de el. Hace unos cortes muy buenos y consigues tiras superfinas. Con zanahoris pequeñas cuesta bastante, pero si el producto a rallar es grueso, va genial. Como venia de Japon estaba asustado por el tiempo que tardaria y por la aduana. Todo fue muy bien
