I am incredibly pleased with my Bamboo Knife Block for my Kitchen! It's not only VERY Sturdy, but it is beautiful as well! I love the magnetic sides, too, so I can put strange-shaped knives there that don't fit well into the slots! I recommend it to anyone considering this as a purchase!!

It's large enough to hold all our knives & I love the way it looks. It is large, but if you have the room it works very well.

The block of wood used for the main part of the knife block is gorgeous - smooth, beautifully patterned, and all of the slots are well-placed and suitable to my knife collection. My complaint is with the plastic that extends on both sides between the posts of the block - they are chipped at the edges and they needed a thorough cleaning as both panels looked spotted and gross. I finally got them into fairly good condition and I was happy to place my knives in their proper places.

I’m not a fan of the look of bamboo but I ordered this block bc the style is exactly what I wanted. I don’t use the plastic inserts bc what’s the point unless you have young kids? Regarding some of the other reviews, I haven’t experienced the issue of tipping over - it’s a pretty heavy block. I think users might have to adjust to lifting the knife up first, rather than at an angle. As far as magnetic sides, they totally work - I have our knife sharpener hanging on the left side and the hold is solid. As far as the knife slots being too wide, use a shim to customize the size (my pics are from before I added the sizing shims). Back to the look of bamboo - I did shou sugi ban on the block and now I absolutely love it! See before and after pics.

I’m general it is good quality; however the knife slots are too wide for slim handle knives. The slots of my old block were about 2/3 the width which worked well. It is worth noting though, as another reviewer mentioned, the sides are thin plastic and one side came with a small scuff like scratched area. I assume that it would also scratch easily with frequent use.

This knife block was EXACTLY what our compact little cozy kitchen needed. It shows off our fancy knives, but ALSO and most importantly, keeps them safe and accessible. PLUS this is super easy to clean. and it's pretty. The magnet is strong-ish, but nothing spectacular. I'm not complaining, my knives are clean, safe, and on display.

With all the talk about “nasty” knife blocks, I started a quest for a better solution. I didn’t have drawer space for knife holders. And really, those are basically in-drawer knife blocks. Magnetic strips, even the pretty wood-look strips, also had their neigh-sayers. This item is the perfect answer. It’s a block, but the slots are very easy to clean since they go all the way through and are only several inches deep. You can also see which knife you are selecting. It has a narrow profile, so it doesn’t protrude onto the cabinet. The sides are magnetic for additional storage. I use one side for scissors. I only wish there were more “small” slots for paring knives or steak knives.

Returned because block tips over as soon as you try to remove a knife. Wildly unsafe design.

Does exactly what we wanted, well made, keeps knives safe and neat

The whole thing felt apart after i try to put the knives into the slot. You can see it has cheap and broken part so just hold it together for a short time. Unfortunately it cost too much for me to return and I have discarded it’s original box already. Not happy
