Good Buddy by Castor & Pollux is the only type of rawhide rolls our dog likes. We tried numerous other types which our dog only reluctantly would chew on and more often than not just drop after a short while. It is very expensive for sure, roughly $ 2.00 a stick. The rawhide is sourced locally here in the United States and not as numerous pet products that are nowadays produced in China and often with inferior quality. Our dog is part of the family, an equally delicate organism as we are, hence we always carefully research and only get the best.

These are great and my dogs love them. We are very picky about only buying products made in the US and the fit back. They are easily digestible and do not have knots in them that get stuck or that my dogs choke on. We buy these in bulk because the dogs love them so much! They do not leave a nasty sticky residue on furniture like some rawhides, and they are more than enough to keep my two big (50 lbs and 90lbs) dogs busy for at least a little bit.

i have one BIG dog - 3 little ones - ALL of them went through these things like they were nothing. SO - they don't last as they probably should - BUT - they're still better than rawhide. and yes, i know LOTS of people DO STILL give their dogs rawhide, but lemme tell ya folks - an idiotic acquaintance gave my dogs rawhide 'treats' - i didn't realize they were rawhide til it was too late - my min-pin swallowed a BIG chunk of that CRAP, and if you know anything about what that can do - it can easily result in surgery, which is in the THOUSANDS of dollars - definitely not something i can afford. so here's what i did; i waited for her to poop - watched to see if she was straining, and yes, of course she did. i let her eat a good amount of vaseline - and while it did take a little over one day - the 'chunk' of rawhide was expelled when she pooped. she did have to strain a bit, and i'm sure it hurt her a little, but at least it didn't result in surgery - it's something EVERY dog owner should know - if a dog appears to be constipated or may have eaten something they shouldn't have - VASELINE - it will NOT hurt them, i've been giving it to my dogs all my 3/4-century on this earth, and it has never caused one tiny bit of a problem for any of them. in fact - if you suspect worms - vaseline will help expel them. if there seems to be a gut problem - constipation, etc - vaseline does work. now - i don't know about the 'generic' - i only buy REAL Vaseline - even though the generic/store-brand petroleum products 'seem' to have the exact same ingredients - i've never bought/tried any of those because i just don't feel comfortable using 'some' generics.

I have a Pit Bull and she has a very strong jaws so I needed to find something strong. So I recently purchased these Sticks and I wanted to try them . She likes them a lot!, she can chew them for long time . Obviously she don't care what they are made as long as she can eat them; but I care and I like the fact that they are Made in the USA from grass-fed beef and others with natural chicken flavor . I definitely will buy more. My daughter's dog is a french bulldog and he, dont like them.

Be carefull, they can leave stains on light colored rugs or furniture... or a white dogs fur, but pur dogs love these bones, and we believe them to be high quality.

UPDATE: After I had the order issues described below in September 2013 (trying twice), Amazon temporarily took this off the site, and now in a January 2014 order I've received all 6 bags. So I've updated to 5 stars (since my dog loves them, and made in USA). Kudos for Amazon which provided a refund without return for the old orders receiving only 1 bag and subsequently correcting the program. OLD SEPT 2013 REVIEW: Like another reviewer, I just received only 1 bag of the 6 bags that are supposed to be in the shipment (September, 2013). I have found no way on the Amazon return to get the right amount other than to return my one bag and ask for a replacement. My dog likes these bones, so assuming someone corrects this shipment error I'll change my rating accordingly. (I have ordered this product in the past from Amazon, and did get the full 6 bags per order.)

I purchased these for my puppies Christmas stocking. The product photo makes the rawhide rolls appear thicker and more dense than they actually are. I used a quarter as a size reference. Disappointed in the size - my Puppy chewed through one rawhide in about 15 minutes and they don’t seem to be a good value for the money.

People seem to have a love hate relationship with rawhide. I am among the people who didn’t like rawhide but I do like this brand. They seem to have limited added junk. They last my aggressive chewer a long time. She loves them and they clean her molars very nicely. Here is how I use them. I give it to her and monitor her chewing time. Usually I allow her 15 minutes and then I offer her another treat, pick up the rawhide stick and put it away for another day. Using this method one stick lasts days, cleans her teeth for days and entertains her for days if only for fifteen minutes. When it gets short and I worry it could be swallowed and cause choking I throw it away. If you need something to remove tartar and plaque from your pups teeth (yes, I brush too) this is a good answer and it’s not going to break the bank.
