I purchased this for a custom gown I made, and it was perfect! I ordered ivory horsehair braid from an expensive fabric store, but it somehow got rerouted to the opposite side of the continent, so I was panicking the week before the event. I ordered this out of desperation, so I was over the moon when it arrived the next day and I saw and felt the excellent quality! It was exactly as depicted in the photo, and it was a breeze to work with. It added structural support to the gown without warping or falling in, the weave stayed perfectly intact (no sharp strays poking holes in expensive fabric), and it looks smooth and flawless from the outside. The ivory color is true to the photos (perfect for my slightly sheer gown) and, while I hadn’t worked with horsehair braid this wide before, the size was perfect for keeping the shape of a heavy 3/4 circle gown.

This horsehair braiding is excellent quality, precisely 1” and exactly the stiffness I expected. I have found some other sellers that say “stiff horsehair”and I had to return it because it was flimsy.

I wish I had known about horsehair braid sooner! It's so easy to work with, and makes the circle skirts stand out, without needing a petticoat. Its a good price, too.

I bought this size and color specifically for my eevee cosplay skirt. It minky fabric and I know I needed something wider then the usual stuff to help give the hem I wanted on my double circle skirts. It’s a good stiffness. Makes the skirt look fantastic. Super easy to use. I was worried I wouldn’t have enough for 2 double circle skirts hems but I still have so much left! So such value for what you pay! Works so well and it’s made well too. If you are looking for lots of extra for your hem this is a definite recommended buy

Awesome stuff. Didn’t need soooo much but could not find smaller amounts. Works wonderful though. Good value for the money. lol, have a lifetime supply but would order it again if needed it!

It's horsehair! It has a good stiffness, wasn't kinked all all when I got it. It doesn't have the thread on one side to tighten it so be aware of that.

Beautiful trim. It's my first time working with it, and will definitely be working with it more. It's so easy to use. Quality seems very good, very sturdy.

Great Buy! This horsehair is easy to sew, It's nice, and Firm. It's not thin, and frail like most colorful horsehair is. It's great for sewing /hemming; sequin, neoprene, velvets, Milliskin, beaded fabrics, heavy trains, ruffles, and great for structural details.

Beautiful color, there are some places of not consistent braids but overall ok.

Using this on a sheer fabric....greese? marks throughout product.

This was much stiffer and coarser than I expected. Which actually worked well for what I needed. If you want something that won’t show through a sheer or lace fabric, don’t buy this.

Works as expected. Local store was out off stock.
