Professor PUZZLE Escape from the Grand Hotel Multiplayer Brain Teasing Game

This is a great escape room game we played while dressed as Clue characters for a party. I wanted something similar to the Clue board game (with rooms) but something interactive and novel - this was perfect! You move from one room to another through a grand hotel with gorgeous cards that open like doors to represent each room with puzzles and clues inside. The solution leads you to the next room. Only one room/ puzzle we got stuck in and the hint didn’t help, but it’s near the end so we could guess the next room to still advance to. The only improvement needed is that the final vignette sort of fizzles and there is no big reveal or muster to solve. But we loved the experience and plan to buy others.

A couple of questionable puzzles, but 18/20 were great!!

The escape room starts somewhat strong with a clear story and puzzles that can be followed without hints. At the end of the first half, both go downhill. The puzzles and story are difficult to follow. We couldn't keep track of which room we were supposed to be in, and for almost every puzzle we needed to get some sort of hint. Frequently we found that the hints were telling us to do things we had already done, and we were unable to convert those actions into an actual answer. Normally we keep our escape rooms after we play it, but this went straight into the trash.

We bought this game after seeing it on a friend's fb post. We played it with family on Thanksgiving day and had a great time!! When I was checking the reviews prior to purchase, there were some negative comments that concerned me. However, after playing the game I realize those people apparently didn't understand the concept of the game. Some of the "mistakes" in the game were made on purpose.

Purchasers should know that there is a possible mistake with the Ballroom Concert Programme puzzle solution. We are big fans of Escape Rooms and puzzle boxes and have played many. We were enjoying this box until this very frustrating error on a challenging puzzle. Very disappointing and frustrating. We hope the seller addresses this.

My 2nd Prof Puzzle game and I enjoyed this game. I've played all of the Exit, Escape the Room, Unlock!, and several others. I've just recently started working my way through Prof Puzzle series. The graphics are beautiful, the pieces are multi-dimensional, and the story is great. I did think the two “locking” puzzles toward the end could have been done with some sturdier cardboard – I really kept thinking I was going to tear the lock trying to unweave the string. I also thought there should have been some better breadcrumbs on the lobby keys/fax cipher puzzle – although I was able to solve it, it was somewhat frustrating to find the key and then find the correct code… I knew what needed to be done but the process itself was just frustrating and time consuming. On, and the first puzzle was silly - there was no need for the bottom two lines on the note... if basically gives away the answer. Nevertheless, overall, a high quality game.

I've played maybe 10 other escape room and mystery games. I love them. This is the best I've played by far. The challenges were creative, challenging, and super satisfying to complete.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves puzzles. We had so much fun. You have the option to split the game into two parts for time. We ended up playing straight through. The items are high quality and the story/puzzles keep you engaged. Looking forward to trying more from this brand.

I love these games, and this game is absolutely great. I do however have a problem with how it is shipped and how the seller shipped this item. We are not only avid board game lovers, but we collect these. The seller shipped this item without any packaging, without any external shrinkwrap, nothing. Just shipped the game in its original game box and slapped a shipping label right directly on the game box cover. Now, we are left with the game box and what WOULD be its lovely graphics, now full of shipping label glue and what was left that couldn’t be peeled off. 1 star to the seller. Not happy!

This was superb. Played it with friends at Halloween. Loved it so much. I also felt as though you were paying for the intellectual design of the game - which was really satisfying, intelligent and fun, with a great, evocative mood. (Likewise you weren't throwing cash on a poorly-designed, unsatisfying game where you're paying for single-use, unnecessarily-pricey props, as seems to sometimes be the case with some other boxed at-home escape rooms.) Can't recommend it highly enough.

I really like the Professor Puzzle Escape games. They’re good quality and some, like this one, can be reset and passed on to friends / family. I find they take longer than it states. Perhaps that’s down to our capability. But it should provide at least 90 mins of fun. There are clues and answers if you’re struggling or in a rush.

Die Verpackung und die Materialien sehen echt toll aus und 3D verspricht ein spannendes Abenteuer zu werden. Leider sind viele Rätsel sehr einfach und nicht wirklich spannend zu lösen.

I played this game with some friends (all adults) and we had good fun. The game is well-made and has decent materials too. I recommend playing it with a few people (no more than 4). Such a pity that there is only one ending!
