Fantastic little gadget, I got it to slice bananas to put in my dehydrator and it worked beautifully. Pretty sure it will work for a number of other things which is very handy when you use a dehydrator to get slices that are consistent.

After squeezing the handle to cut a banana, it doesn't automatically open up again, it binds and stays in the closed position, making it very inefficient to use. Hoping the replacement unit works better. Edit: Replacement unit arrived in one day and works perfectly. Raising my rating to 5 stars.

Like this for slicing bananas. I like it so much I ordered more for Christmas gifts. This makes slicing bananas for the Dehydrator a lot easier and quicker.

Clearly used. This is so unpleasant to receive. Please do not ship returned products without checking. Edit: seller did reach out and offered an apology and a refund. Updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. The product works as advertised, didnt have any rust yet as other reviewers have mentioned but only time will tell. So far its been working well for slicing bananas and i will definitely continue to use it! One thing i notice is that your hand can get jammed on the bottom of it when fully doing the slicing motion, thats the best i could describe it.

The banana slicer works so good. Saves time when needing to slice bananas and you get the perfect slices. Definitely a good buy!

THIS IS UNSAFE AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT IF THEY ARE NOT CAREFUL. It worked on bananas fairly well but I diced some hot dogs and there was an issue that I didn't realize until I was eating what I had sliced the hot dogs for. I took a bite and felt something hard in my mouth. I spit it out and it was one of the hinge pins from the device. I could have swallowed it and choked. I put it back in the tool and started working squeezing it like you do when you use it and I watched the pin work it's way back out again. I'm definitely returning it.

This banana slicer is nice for cutting high quantities of bananas, we like to dehydrate them so this helps save a ton of time. The only cons are that you have to keep rinsing them off as you go otherwise they won’t cut as effectively, and washing it can be tricky as the blades are kind of sharp and I have accidentally cut myself before

Does what it is supposed to do. Only used it for banana so far but it's sharp, easy to use, and makes slices uniform which is important when freeze drying anything.

Great for cutting banana for porridge, with custard , or making a salad

Wanted to use to chop herbs finely for taboulli . Doesn't work. Looked like it could work for that, it doesn't. Not worth the hassle of cleaning if just trying to cut banana.
