Great hood for the money!
I am very happy with this lens hood. Like many Canon users, I don't feel like paying the high prices for the original Canon hoods. I have used several off-brand versions on my lenses and this one works as well as any I've purchased. It fits nicely. It's a little snug right out of the box but not too snug (I have a Vello brand hood for a different lens that is so tight when reversed that I never reverse it). I'd rather have it a little snug than loose so it doesn't fall off unexpectedly.. I expect that the hood will loosen a little with use. For the money, it's a great deal!

Excellent Value for the Money!
This item was exactly as it was advertised! It attached to the lens smoothly and the fact that it is reversible was a real plus! The lens cap also fits while the hood is in place, NICE!

Not perfect, but great for the money.
It fits on fine, but doesn’t lock into any certain position, so you have to keep checking to make sure it doesn’t cause any vignette on the image.

Great substitute for expensive Canon lens hoods
Since Canon sees fit to not include lens hoods with all non-L lenses they sell, I spend the extra cost on JJC lens hoods. Also some of the used lenses I have bought didn’t come with a hood either. I find JJC hoods are well made and work as good as the Canon hoods on similar sized lenses at blocking stray light from entering the lens and protecting the front lens elements. I find the price for JJC lens hoods are at a sane level too. I have had to purchase quite a few hoods for the wide array of the used and new EF and RF lenses I have acquired and if I had went the Canon version where possible on all of them, my wallet would have been much thinner. If you get a lens and need a new / replacement hood for it, you might consider getting a JJC branded hood.

Bought the JJC LH-73C for my Canon EFS 10-18mm. Fits perfectly, very secure. Love that it is reversible & lightweight. Perfect for travel/vloging.
