How do you apply this to the hair?

I put the bottle in hot water for a minute or so to help make the liquid less thick, it comes out the bottle quicker that way. Then I mix it with coconut oil in another bottle and apply both oils to my scalp using an applicator bottle. I've seen some people use toothbrushes to apply it to the hairline. I also use the oils to seal my ends. In addition, I take a q-tip to apply the JBCO to my eyebrows. I've seen people use brow brushes or mascara wands for their eyelashes

The difference is in the way they process the oil. This castor oil is made by roasting the castor beans first then they press the beans to get the oil, leaving the oil with a darker hue, hence the name "Black" Castor Oil. Now some say that this method gives the castor oil a higher pH, which is said to be good for the hair, due to an added clarifying property from the roasting method and it is said to also help open the hair's cuticles.The other oil, from NOW Solutions is just "cold pressed", meaning they just take the raw castor beans and press them to get the oil. Both work exactly the same and are wonderful to use on both your hair and skin. Hi, I just want to know will this product help me to grow hair back in the scalp?

YES.  My toddler was literally pulling her hair out and it was completely bald in spots.  Everyone comments now on how her hair has filled in (no visible bald spots) and is growing.  I couldn't 'grip' her hair in the whole front half of her head (that is how bad she was pulling it out and I had to shave it down to keep her from doing it).  Now I can plait her hair in small plats all over, large enough to put a tiny clip or barrette on them.  Product works well.

Yes!! Rub it in daily on your edges. A little bit goes a long way. I love this oil.
