Yes, it is 60 pounds. The draw distance is only about 12" but the way it breaks over to cock makes it easier than pulling just 60 pounds.

What red dot laser is recommended for this?

The rear sight and mount itself are not very big. I would look at a small red dot sight by Daisy or Crosman for starters, just because of their smaller size.
