Comfort Cool Wrist Thumb CMC Restriction Brace. Right Medium.

I am so happy I bought this. I have DeQuervain Tendinitis and was prescribed a brace by my doctor. However, the brace ended at the base of my hand and didn't offer any support for my wrist. Also, the skin between my thumb and hand was rubbed raw by the strap so I had to wear a glove under the brace. This brace is much more comfortable and supports my wrist.

I'm older and do a lot with my hands. Keyboarding, cooking, knitting, gardening, weaving. Carpel tunnel was apparent, though not too bad. I'd expected it as I've had two surgeries on my right wrist/hand. I have the smaller one of these braces and I like it. However, it isn't long enough to give my joints a rest at night.I decided to order this one (without the stabilizing inserts). I just love it. It's long enough to immobilize the wrist/hand yet isn't stiff and confining. It's cool, flexible if you need to move your thumb, and very comfortable all night long. And - it's adjustable and comfortable.It's a bit confusing to put on your wrist the first time. Just learn it how to do it and you should be happy.

Helps support arthritic wrist, but sometimes have trouble getting the velcro undone.

I already had one of these from a previous surgery on my left hand. I was having some trouble with my right hand as well, so I purchased a right handed model of this. Works GREAT. These are the best braces I've ever used. The original I had was recommended to me by a doctor at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I highly recommend for comfort and reliability.

Bought from amazon so i have a second one while waiting for my other one to dry. Used this type for my De Quervain's. I was able to play bowling without aggavating the condition. Adjusted to more tightness and support when throwing the ball.Adjustable configuration to accommodate different hand sizes (i bought small size) or form.Washable.Tried different OTC braces but this was what worked.

This brace is comfortable and supportive, but after only 2 weeks of wear, it is falling apart. One of the velcro pieces on the thumb strap is coming off. This brace was significantly more expensive than other similar braces on Amazon. The Comfort Cool brand was recommended by my OT because it is cooler than the other brands. I will let her know that it is not durable so she can reconsider recommending it to her other patients.Update: I called the vendor, North Coast Medical, and spoke to Rachel. I informed her of the issue with the velcro strap, and she immediately offered to either send out a new brace at no charge, or issue a credit for the purchase price. Since I like everything about the brace except for the issue with the velcro strap, I had her send me a new one. Hopefully, the replacement brace will be more durable, but if not, Rachel said they would replace or refund that one, too. Great vendor!!!

Does what it is supposed to do. It's a bit cumbersome to put on since both of my hands are bad, but that is well worth the pain relief.

I ordered this on the recommendation of my therapist. It is not at all easy to put on yourself, and despite the fact that I measured the hand size correctly, it did not fit over my normal-sized forearm. It was also very uncomfortable, despite not limiting my wrist movement as much as it should have. More importantly, they charged a $10 "restocking" fee on a $29 brace (and they charged $1 tax on the restocking fee, and who knows if they paid my state that tax!). Anyway, try this on somehow before paying them money for this.
