Medical Insurance Card and ID Card Scanner (w/Scan-ID LITE, for Windows)

I purchased this to scan government ID's for my DNA business. I work in a physician's practice and we have scanners for ID cards and insurance cards, so I thought that would be perfect for my own business, so I looked around for a reasonably priced scanner to scan exactly what I wanted it scan. It's easy to install and the picture is clear and in color for me to attach to my portal for my lab to process DNA samples.

This Medical Insurance Card and ID Scanner works well for my needs and produces surprisingly accurate scans. We are using this scanner to manage membership at our indoor range by scanning the Driver License and using the BizCardReader database software. The scanner drivers installed easily and the device was recognized almost immediately after connecting with the included USB cable. I have tried the scanner both with and without the included cradle, and it works well both ways. The ScanToFile software is good for making copies of cards, Driver Licenses, and other small cards. I like that it can scan the Driver License barcodes and save the user's data. There are a lot options in the software that it took some experimenting to figure out, but it now works just the way I need it to work. This worked well for my needs at a fraction of other options we looked into. Highly Recommended! CFH

We have had our first card readers since 2019 and I just bought two more for the computers that did not have them. We have never had any issue. Simple to use. They upload each side of the card separately. It produces clear images usually on the first try as long as the card fees correctly. A good purchase and it they have lasted.

I bought this scanner for my business and its been wonderful ever since. Easy install. Downloaded and installed the latest software and driver first before connecting the scanner. Software can be minimized and set for auto-scan and the folder to save to, so as soon as an ID card is placed at the slot of the scanner, it will scan in just a few seconds and pop up a scanned image with the option to input data it and then save it in the defined folder. This scanner takes up very little desk space, which is a premium in the hospitality business it was installed at. I highly recommend the 901 BizCardreader for quick ID card scanning.

I just bought this and installed. It does scan but will not put info into text boxes as they show, you have to do manually. I have tried to call them, BUT THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE ALL THEY WANT IS EMAILS. SENT 3 EMAILS FOR SUPPORT AND YET HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM THEM NOW 4 DAYS. GETTING READY TO RETURN THE ITEM. i AM SURE IF THEY WOULD COMMUNICATE THEY COULD ADVISE AN EASY FIX, BUT THAT DOES NOT SEEM TO HAPPEN. BEWARE NO SUPPORT

I bought this card scanner for my medical office. We have to scan insurance cards to attach to our patient records. The scanner is smaller in size making it ideal for desktop applications. Installation was easy and it captures both front and back of the card (duplex). I like this scanner, footprint is minimal, duplex scanning and easy to use. I recommend this scanner for medical offices that scan insurance cards.

We have using this for a while now. It does the basics in scanning but if you want to use all of the functions that it is supposed to have you have to pay for an upgrade license which you do by calling. I wished I would have known that ahead of time or read more of the reviews. I probably would have gone with something else. I have also had to uninstall and reinstall the software twice in six months. It just seems to lose its ability to communicate with the scanner. The software comes from the Internet download.

Our offices were trying to use a regular scanner for license and ins files. The clarity was not there like we needed. After some research we now have these buzzard scanners in all offices. It’s quick, clear, and doesn’t require much maintenance. Just a calibration every now and then! We love their ease of usability!
