Or the well-intentioned family member that bought it!Minimal instructions that take 'leaps' between steps that you will not understand.It took me 2 hours to get one about 70% correct.Don't be fooled by the cool designs and pictures - you will fail and hate everyone!Just kidding but, seriously, unless you're really proficient at origami stay away.

Totally frustrating. My grandson aged 6 got this for his birthday and was so excited to have grandma help him. The directions for the preliminary and crane base which are the beginnings of most of the dinosaurs are impossible to follow. I worked for 1.5 hours to master one of these and got nowhere.

I'm not a total newbie to origami, I enjoy crafts and have a good sense of graphic intelligence, and I ADORE dinosaurs, so I received this as a Christmas present. I was delighted! What could be more perfect? The paper that comes with the set is beautiful, and though a few sheets aren't exactly perfectly square, they're close enough for the price point.The idea is adorable, and the dinosaurs are cute, but this book falls into the bizarre trap of completely over explaining some steps and then making bizarre leaps on others. It is EXTREMELY frustrating to spend hours trying to figure out what's going on. It also isn't edited well, so the pictures sometimes depict a different stage of progress than the steps' text.I understand that there are apparently YouTube instructions made by the author if the text is insufficient, but if you get an instructional book it should... well, instruct, yes?If you're unusually patient and already proficient with origami, absolutely go for it. But definitely wouldn't recommend this set to beginners or younger children.
