Are the end caps removable so legs can be cut to length and caps e placed back?

Yes. I removed the end caps, cut off 2" and put the end caps back on. Easy to remove, easy to put back on, works perfect.

Would this legs support a top with a weight of 100 pounds?

These legs are fairly sturdy. I’m using them with a wood dinette table from an RV, which probably weighs 40+/- lbs. I’ve had more than 60-75 lbs on it with no problem. My question would be what do plan to put on top of your 100 lb table top that would add to the total weight? Legs could support your top in my opinion, but how much more is unknown to me.

Do you know what size the screw inside of the tube

The screw on the inside is too short to use for mounting directly to furniture. It sticks out about 1/4" past the tube.
