40x40cm is once opened out. In box they are 20x20cm folded.
Trying to find napkins to fit a napkin holder is tricky when the measurements are not clear. These 40x40cm napkins are folded in the box and measure 20x20cm. They open out into 40x40cm. A really nice size and quality. I assume the 25x25cm ones will be half that size folded in the box and open up to be 25x25cm as other reviewers have noticed. At least I now know what to expect when I next order. You can just dispense from the box too.

These things are a great price and unless you live next door to that huge 'shed' in yellow & blue then buy these as they save a trip out and having to buy a lot of tat you didn't want including those meatballs that produce more gas than the north sea reserves.

My Go-To Napkin
Soft strong and huge. I just wish they could do them in other colours, white does not match my décor, surely you can make green green. See what I did there? Cheeky aren't I. They're not thick but they do absorb and being white they don't bleed colour, I do have nice green ones that also don't bleed, but they're 3 times the price It's just a pity that today's diners don't seem to know how to unfold a full size dinner napkin and use it properly, but I'd feel a bit cheap just giving them cocktail napkins with dinner, even though it's probably all they need.
