Great training tool for those interested in using Karambit's
The trainer works great, it has the appropriate weight to it and has an Emerson loop so you can open it from a pocket draw. It really is a standard Karambit that is not sharp, so you can feel the same when using a standard, sharpened one. for those wondering, it is the size of a Fox 479. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Corners were very sharp, but otherwise amazing buy!
Firstly, I need to say that this training knife was SHARP out of the box. The "edge" was flat and safe, but the corners of that flat edge were 90° degree sharp corners and I was literally able to cut paper with the corners. I had to file down the corners all the way around the entire knife in order to make it relatively safe for training purposes. It is also important to know that the little wave nub at the top of the knife is still absolutely a dangerous weapon if you spin the karambit and hit somebody with it. Use common sense, please. That being said, the only other issue I had was that the belt clip was installed on the left hand side, and unfortunately I don't own extremely tiny Torx wrenches, so it's just gonna have to be in my left pocket for training.Other than those two things, this trainer is very, very nice and CERTAINLY worth the buy. My instructor uses the $100+ name brand trainer and it's functionally identical to this one. It's also extremely comfortable in the hand, and the ring is the appropriate size.I gave 4 stars for sturdiness just because there is a slight back-and-forth rattle (none side to side) with the blade. I honestly spend so much time using this that I don't remember if it came that way or not, but I abuse the heck out of this thing and the very slight wiggling is the only damage to it.If you're looking for a karambit folding trainer, definitely buy this one. Just be sure to check the edges and file them down before using this!

I recommend this trainer
The media could not be loaded. Smooth pivot area, pocket clip is not overly stiff, the ring is comfortable and smooth. The handle is also smooth without much texture to grip. The only texture it offers is ridges from the liner and the wave like feature. Edges are flat without a lot of rounding. IMO, this item is going to be best suited for practicing deployment, practicing techniques without a partner or with a compliant buddy. This can still badly damage someone with some effort. The pocket clip came on the side that allows for left handed deployment to the blade on the pinky side of your hand or thumb side for right handed. This is perfect for use for right handed shooters using a blade in their left. If you prefer a different carry you can switch it to the other side of the grip scales. The pivot screw is a gripe I have because it tends to loosen frequently. Great option for the price.

Can't ask for much more for the money
No issues with my copy. All corners are rounded, no sharp edges. The pocket clip was on the wrong side for me, but it swapped easily unlike other reviewers. Reasonably smooth and locks up well, but only time will tell on the pivot, it may need to be tightened or even loctite if it loosens. Very close to the Fox and great for safe practice. The pocket hook is not nearly as good as a real Wave, but it works fine since the pivot is a little loose. Also, if you can consistently deploy on this hook, a real Wave will work easier.

Broke after one drop.
It broke when I dropped it. It seems sturdy at first but then I dropped it and it broke. It’s heavy which is nice but it’s finger grip at the end (the circle hole) is a bit uncomfortable. If you buy it, just don’t drop it.

Great replica
This is a great replica and trainer for anyone who says you cannot change the pocket clip it shows that you’ve clearly never owned a fox knife before or any replicas as it’s pretty spot on the liner is threaded for the clip screws not the grip! And it’s great trainer seems ti hold up and as long that you got a star Allen wrench you’re good to go ti tinker with the blade retention as it will get loose over time. For the price it’s great.

Fun to play with
It does feel a little bulky in my hand, and because the blade is thick, it is heavy. But, that makes it a decent training device. Kind of like wax-on-wax-off. If you don't get that, watch the movie. And don't cheap out and watch the SD version because it's a dollar less than the HD version - On Prime :)For my hand - medium glove size - the finger ring is a bit far away and large, but I make due. It's just to play with.Peace.

Decent for price
So far so good using this trainer. The second one I ordered, cross lock, did not hold up, though.
