Will this shampoo darken the white in a dogs coat. i want to enhance the reds & browns, but not the white.

No, this shampoo doesn’t darken the white hair at all.

Hi, it depends on the puppy age, we used it on our litter of 8 german shepherds since 5 weeks of age, it kept them really red! and the black looked amazing. Just don't let the puppy lick it and don't get it in your puppy's eyes! hope it helps.
