Sold as new for super great price!! Just 2 cover jacket flaws. I can wipe away the smears, but there is an impression at the tip of the ‘E’. This is a gift, but it’s certainly acceptable. Just very glad there are no tears! The book was unprotected in a big box w 4 other items. The pic of Robert Redford is great!

I bought this for my almost 6 year old son who likes wolves. I know this is an adult book but I’m sure he will love all these great pictures of wolves! There are great up close pictures of these beautiful creatures on almost every page. I’ve only just skimmed it so far but I have enjoyed learning about the hierarchy of the pack. I didn’t know about an omega (<learned what this word means) and am glad he had one friend who wouldn’t pick on him :(.

I just got this book , got it today and I am so pleased with this book very nice pictures , started reading it I can't wait to read the rest . I have kept up on the Sawtooth Pack since their story was first aired on PBS . What an amazing story , I have always loved wolves I have lived in Idaho and have a friend that is a Nez Perce Indian , I have met many of them they are good people . I was so glad when I seen on TV that they where going to the Nez Perce land in Idaho . if you love wolves this is a very good book Jim had studied these wolves for about 6 years and then Jamie joined him he showed they have feeling and emotions and the way of their life and pack I knew all animals have feeling by always having a dog and other pets , anyone that has had a pet as a family member knows animals have feelings . I highly recommend this book .

This book is amazing quality content it self is a beautiful story of a wolf pack . I adore it and Love it couldn’t be better. Pictures are top notch quality, level of details is amazing. This is the saddest story I have ever red, It does hurt my heart but it’s natural and the way it should be. It’s a must read for all woof lovers. I just wanna add that I would die for Lakota. ❤️

Beautiful book and insight to these incredible creatures.

This book is SO well written and interesting. You are immediately transported into the fascinating world of wolves. Learn about their social structure, how they are unfairly vilified, their loving commitment to the entire pack, their dedication to pups, and how they experience joy and sadness. The photographs are amazing, and I highly recommend it!

The photographs in this book are mesmerizing... one cannot just "scan" these photos. I was in awe of the superb photography and the touching stories behind each individual wolf during this many-year study & observations. This book is on my coffee table & it does catch everyone's eyes as they reach for this book to scan the photos. They almost always ask "Do you have the video?" I do. This book has truly elevated my knowledge & appreciation of wolves. I learned a lot about the wolf "pack" & hierarchy. Truly a blueprint that us humans should follow.

Very enjoyable to read.

As a person interested in wolves, this book makes me want to even learn more. Such nice books like these should be made available in other disciplines. Nice to read, fun watching the pictures.

Full of amazing pictures, explanations, quotations. Wolves look after their families - I wish we all did. Too much abuse in human relationships! (I've bought one copy for myself and another to send to a friend. He's set up more than one wolf reservation: he loves wolves, and the environment.)

Très beau travail de texte et de photos du couple Dutcher ! Un livre à ne pas manquer pour les amis des loups. Le seul regret est qu'il ne soit pas disponible pour le public non bilingue.

個人主観ですが写真はかなりきれいです。どなたかのレビューで国内版より海外版の方が写真がきれいと言われていたので参考にし海外版を購入！英語は小学生レベルの私の場合、辞書片手に。。。文法は英語のテストではないので肩こりのない程度に訳しています。（現在進行中） 生の（野生の）表情はやはり怖いではなく、神秘的です。人はこの神秘的な部分に引き寄せられ、怖がるのなど自分なりに解釈しています。
