Paul: Tarsus to Redemption Paperback – August 1, 2012

I bought this book as a Confirmation present for my special needs brother who loves comic books. His Confirmation Saint was Paul. I read through the book before giving it to him. Overall, I thought it was pretty good and got the general story of Saint Paul across. I was a bit annoyed that they never mentioned his blindness and just said that he was ill from is life-changing encounter with Christ. However, the end of the graphic novel does recommend that you should go to the Bible for more information, so I guess that covers any small inconsistencies or missing parts that people think should have been included. Overall, I am glad I bought it and I would recommend it to others.

Compared to the anime they did on Benedict XVI, this one is sparse. There is way too little text for visual images. I was reading it to my boys and it would be two or three pages of just pictures and little sounds. Compared to the content rich BXVI volume, I was not fully satisfied. If you're reading this yourself, maybe it would be a better personal experience. The pictures are fine, but I found the story a bit wanting in terms of picture to text ratio.

Great story!

My daughter is a manga fan and loves to read them. I love this because it teaches her about the faith in a different way. Win-win.

Is it supposed to be published with the binding on the right side???!!!???

these are really cool but not recommended for children under 16. kids must have some background in scripture to read and enjoy these books.

This manga is decent, but not as good as their other books like their recent manga about Benedict XVI. Decent story about this famous missionary coupled with great artwork... Just wish the plot could be more involved...
