Beautiful in classic black, the Arrow Norma Jean model 353 sewing cabinet is a must-have for active sewists who want the features of a great cabinet in a piece that looks at home anywhere in the house. Suitable for sewing and embroidery as well as expandable for quilting, the Norma Jean is one of Arrow’s more popular models. The Norma Jean model 353 is a conservative 41-¼” wide, 20” deep and 31-¼” high when closed up, hiding the machine and all supplies neatly inside. Opened with the two drop leafs up and supported by their swing-out supports, it expands to a generous 81-½” wide with an open height of 30-½” after the drop leaf is unfolded, offering plenty of knee and legroom. With the addition of the rear quilting leaf sold separately, the 353 provides enough workspace for any sewing project. One of the great features of the Norma Jean is its easy airlift mechanism that raises and lowers the machine from flatbed position to freearm position, then stores the machine below the work surface so the cabinet can be closed. The adjustable mechanism can support machines up to 50 lbs,and the machine opening can accommodate machines up to 23-½” wide, 12-¼” deep, and 13-⅞” tall. All knobs, plugs, and more are included plus there is an optional custom insert available that is sold separately. Another feature of the model 353 cabinet is the amount of storage space it has built-in. This cabinet offers 4 accessory bins on the left, installed on the inside of the swing-out cabinet door and perfect for holding thread spools, sewing tools, machine accessories, and more. On the right, there are 4 sizeable drawers for larger items while on top, a recessed double compartment makes keeping frequently used items like scissors and pins convenient. Made from sturdy wood composite/MDF, the Norma Jean model 353 is finished in a durable vinyl laminate in classic black.
