A Really Interesting Book
I have read a number of books on this subject, but "The Cannibis Grow Bible" is by far the most comprehensive and complete book I have ever read.Everything from grow preparation to seed selection/germination to harvest is covered in detail. There are chapters on indoor and outdoor growing, genetics, pests/diseases, resources, and just about anything else imaginable. This is absolutely the only book you will ever need about this particular hobby.Additionally, there are a number of entertaining antedotes which amuse and entertain. Great book.

AWESOME BOOK
This was the best book ive read on the subject so far. It was very informative when it came to growing outdoors as well as understanding alot about the plant itself. It touches on just about everything you would want to know about growing buds and starting your own garden. It touched on indoor gardens, guerilla gardens, hydroponics, enough to give you an idea how to start your own indoor soil or hydro garden, it even teaches you how to build your own aeroponics hydro set-up,(if you do build the one in the book, make sure you use atleast a 250 gallon per hour pump or you will regret it, they are only $20 online). This book also teaches you about breeding marijuana and creating your own strains so its good for people who already know how to grow and are looking to start breeding plants themselves. Any beginner should get this book and use it as their starting point because its easy to understand and read and before you know it you will be trimming your own buds in no time. Seriously if you want a great book that will teach you a whole lot on this subject, BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!

Let's you know what you're getting into...
I've been writing about cannabis for years now and thought I should find out what's going on with cultivation. I do not have a green thumb and I've never really grown anything more complicated than a tomato. What I like about this book is the realistic appraisal of all the challenges related to cultivation. The details about coaxing the plant into existence are splendid. So many growing guides, websites, and magazine articles imply that the process is relatively effortless. It is not. Even when cannabis is re-legalized, I can see that this task is beyond me.I was particularly struck by all the outrageous hassles that have nothing to do with the plant and everything to do with prohibition. Big sections on security, sea of green growing to keep the number of plants to a minimum, carbon filters for preventing the detection of odors...It's insane. I love that growers have shown such ingenuity and skill, but can't help wondering what they could have done to improve the plant itself if they hadn't spent all this time and energy on secrecy.Users should read this book simply to further their appreciation of the plant and the cultivators. The book should also get them motivated to work for the repeal of prohibition because each section makes it obvious that cannabis could be better and cheaper if these horticulturists could devote their time to more important matters than avoiding detection.Non-users should at least thumb through this book. If they can understand that cultivators are willing to endure the ridiculous irritations that prohibition creates, they will know that any attempt to legislate this plant out of existence is doomed to failure.

A great book for those who are new to growning Cannabis
I have seen and read many of the Cannabis books. This one is very good and has alot of details in it. The only down fall is that there are not alot of pictures. If your a visual person and need alot of pics this my not be the book for you. This book does eplain everything from start to finish of a grown and everything inbetween.

Fantastic Grow Guide For Beginners
This book is extremely easy to read and has a lot of informative pictures and graphics. From my experience, the advice is sound. The bottom line is, there's an art to growing cannabis. Nobody is going to agree on everything and hater reviewers are going to hate. Take the information for what it is.No guide can cover all possible climates, and chances are wherever you grow is going to be a semi-unique micro-climate that will require slight adjustments to your regimen until you have it down. Whether you're growing indoors, outdoors, or hydroponically, growing conditions in say, Hawaii, is not going to be the same as growing in Arizona or New York.

It's alright, nice pics.
Just like most of these books that you can find on Amazon on growing marijuana, this book didn't teach me anything that I could of found free off the internet. I suppose I accept paying the price for the pictures at least. Fair enough..

Greg Green - What a great name for the author...
I ordered this book about a month ago because, just like the rest of you looking at these pages, I am interested in the cultivation process of the cannabis plant, as well as the social, medical and political issues that have surrounded, and will continue to surround this controversial little (or in some cases huge) plant.I can say after having read this book that the author is without doubt an authority on the subject, providing as he does both extremely accessible and practical information, on as many areas of cultivation as you could want to enquire about. And probably more. The comprehensive layout and format of this book is greatly appreciated. The clearly distinct sections complement each other well and inform both the casual reader (like myself) who is interested in educating him/herself on the life cycle of the cannabis plant, as well as the serious grower committed to producing a quality, unadulterated harvest of homegrown, whatever their size of growroom. As others have commented, it is not an entirely easy task to obtain a reliable source of information on growing, that isn't simply trying to make a buck by passing off vague and questionable techniques as gospel truth. However I think if you buy this book and are serious enough to actually sit down and read it rather than just scan your eyes over it, you will find much of value within these pages. There's no such thing as a 10-step quick guide to anything, let alone something as dedicated and money/time dependent as growing your own bud, but give this detailed book the time it deserves and I'll bet more likely than not you'll reap what you sow. Quite literally.A great reference book and highly worthy addition to any grower's library.

As it says, the Bible!
Great for all grow beginners, exact advises, explanations, in allmost every details of the growing "work"...What is missing is a chapter on all medical conditions a plant can have and how to cure it!But all in all: It is worth it and every beginner should have this "hoe to grow" - Book/ Bible!

don't show your mates
This book is excellent. I bought the Ditchfield one first and learned a lot as a beginner, but there were always little things missing, such as what trichomes look like etc. The Bible, though, has pictures of trichomes and even a diagram of the inside of one. All my questions were answered, there's loads of detailed pictures and it's written very well too. I could understand clearly what's going on, even when he gets down to the technical stuff. There's even a chapter on the politics of it all.So, if your after a book on growing and can only afford one this is it.The only problem is that if you show it to your mates, they'll want one. Which means you may have to order one for them, or they may borrow it and give you a hard time getting it back.Cheers,
