High Quality and Saved a Lot Over Hiring a Pro
I purchased this to use with the ProCare keyless entry system for a preschool. It’s been getting a lot of daily use and is holding up great with no issues so far. It feels high quality and was fairly easy to figure out, even for someone without experience in the commercial door industry. I also saved a lot of money by installing it myself instead of hiring a commercial door company. Very satisfied with the performance and value so far!

Excellent "easy" retrofit door strike
We used this strike on a door with an old pushbar release and while the install was not easy, that wasn't the fault of the strike. We only needed to remove the old latch, drill a new hole for the wires and two to securely bolt the strike to the metal door frame. No cutting needed. The steps to change between fail-safe (open with no power) and fail-secure (locked with no power, default) were simple, and while it is much more expensive than most of the other cheap no-name strikes, the build quality and fit and finish make it feel like this will last well into the foreseeable future.

This was a perfect match to a new door we had installed.

Perfect for when there's not much room to spare
I should have bought this first! It was perfect for my application - a single, metal door that was retrofitted sometime in the past to a fire bar on the inside and a utility handle on the outside. Try as I might I couldn't scooch the bar far enough away from the door jamb to fit a regular sized electric strike, and installing one inside the door jamb didn't provide enough hold to actually keep the door shut. Hours and hours I spent installing and reinstalling other strikes and all the door hardware. From the time I opened the box with this strike to the time it was perfect and done was maybe 10 minutes. Granted, I already had the wire run which is by a country mile the worst part. But the strike part couldn't have been easier. Now the door has zero wiggle and holds perfectly.

Nice and Easy
Contractor decided to install a "Crash bar" instead of a latch set. This strike was very simply to install on the door. NO cutting the frame AT ALL! Only a small hole for the wires and it's a clean presentation! I would use this again!!

A little thinner than the 9600 series
The latch is not as secure as the 9600 series because it’s thinner especially if you have any play in the door
