I'm thinking about this one or haba soft doll seat for 7 yr old. most dolls are around 14 inches tall. does one of these work better?

Not sure but this one works great. Our 7 year old granddaughter loves it for her babies.

Can you take the straps off? I was thinking of buying and and stray painting it for a boy

All of the straps are removable except the shoulder straps.
