Original frisket film is the same product that has been acknowledged as the best by artists and designers since 1970. The fine vinyl, in either matt or gloss finishes, cuts cleanly with minimal pressure thus protecting the work surface underneath the frisket. Gloss frisket allows perfect clarity when used inposition directly onto artwork, allowing a clear view of the work. It can also be used as a temporary protective cover for work in progress. Matt frisket will accept pencil drawing so masks can be pre-prepared away from the artwork as well as cut in position. The translucent release paper used on frisket film allows light to come through it, allowing projected images to be traced directly onto the matt surface. Review: Original frisket film worked better than I expected - Original frisket film worked better than I expected. it was easy to use and if you have to reposition it, no problem. can't wait for the next project! Review: Terrible! Left glue residue and ruined artwork! - I used to swear by this stuff in art school, but I think the formula has changed. It left sticky adhesive residue all over my artwork. I even tried removing some of the adhesive by sticking it to fabric, spraying it with fixative or hairspray and it STILL left tons of glue behind and the damn stuff wont come off. I tried Goo Gone, Mineral Spirits, Rubbing Alcohol and even dish soap. I ended up using mostly painter's tape for my masking needs and only minimal Frisket because it's such a nightmare on large areas. If anyone knows of a better brand or alternative to this I'd love to know!
