Extremely beautiful paints
Old Holland paints can be quite costly. Therefore, I jumped at the opportunity when this introductory set was offered at a very reasonable price, IMO. I found each tube to be jam packed with an intense pigment load, and a luxurious creamy consistency that was consistent throughout all tubes of color within this set. They are a joy to paint with, and I’m re-considering my stance of not selling my work just yet, because I would like to be able to afford to buy more Old Holland paints as well as other favorites. One of the standout features of this set for me was that I didn’t need much paint at all to create very brilliantly colored paintings due to the high pigment load and smooth lay down. And what pigments, btw! Beautiful! For your reference: before using Old Holland, I have been using Williamsburg paints by Golden, which are also pricey but I love them, they are excellent, Gamblin, Tusc and Pine, and also the water mixable oils by Holbein and Winsor and Newton. I used to be a “professional artist” in my late teens/ early twenties, but then went into other interests/ professions. I re-connected with my painting practice during COVID, watercolor painting specifically, and now I’m bringing back my first love of oil painting into my practice. Figured I would mention all of this to give people an idea of how much worth ( if any) they should regard my opinion. Oh: I have, in the spirit of going as solvent free as possible, learned that Old Holland paints are quite cooperative when it comes to cleaning my paintbrushes by first soaking them in safflower oil for 5-15 minutes and gently pressing down to squeeze out the remaining pigment trapped in the brush, wipe with a paper towel or rag, and then wash gently with some warm water and a mild soap or shampoo. Oil will clean oil paint, and this method is much more gentle on expensive high end paint brushes than solvents such as OMS or turpentine. Just my opinion.

Disappointing service
Old Holland is one of the best oil brands (professional painter). One star is for the service, both from the seller and Amazon. I bought a set of ten colors (40 ml), and the seller sent me one set of 18 ml. Two times the same situation. I waited 45 days for the product. It's disappointing. Amazon did not offer me any practical solution to get the product I had ordered. Return the item and wait for the refund.
