Signature Design by Ashley Queen Metal Bed Frame with Headboard & Footboard

What a nice, well-made, bed and frame! I looked at darn near every metal, victorian era style, bed frame made. I actually discounted this frame, which I saw several times. I even searched Ashley's site. But, after seeing some reviewer's photos here on Amazon, then looking closer at the specs, I chose this bed, and it's a winner! Shipping only took a few days, because of the winter storm. It still arrived 3 days sooner than expected. Although the box had 3 holes, the frame was well packed and suffered no damage. It comes with all hardware, inc. an Allen wrench, for assembly. I assembled it myself. It'll be easier with 2 people. Assemby took about 1 1/2 hours, but I move slowly. I used my drill with bits, so things went quicker. I'm impressed. The bed won't be falling apart or loosening, anytime soon. For instance, each side of the head and footboard are connected by 4 bolts, 2 from the side and 2 from the front. There are a total of 5 metal support slats spaced evenly across the frame. The head and foot slats have one support leg each, the other 3, have 2 legs each, for a total of 8 support legs. Each slat slides tightly into a metal slots and is screwed into place with bolts. The metal legs also screw in. Everything is heavier gauge metal, not the cheap stuff. You'll have a very steady frame that's well supported. It'll definitely take a lot of weight. The beauty of this frame is NO SUPPORT LEGS ON THE SIDE! So, no stubbed toes like most metal beds. We have a sleep number bed, with support. As mentioned by others, the frame is a bit wider than the box and mattress. However, lengthwise, it's a very close fit. If you have several blankets and a quilt, like we do, they certainly won't pull out easily at night. I've not had any problems with the bed sliding sideways. The bed is ~ 7" from the floor. If you're on the fence about this frame, don't be. It's worth every penny. It's not only well-made, it's beautiful.

The instructions were easy to follow and I put this together by myself in about an hour. Seems sturdy but I haven’t slept on it yet. Overall I love the look of this frame and ease of assembly so I gave it 5 stars.

This bed is beautiful. I thought it would be more of a deep bronze shade, but it actually has more of a silvery tinge, which in our gray bedroom is quite complimentary. The bed size is the exact size noted in the dimensions, so if you have a thick comforter or coverlet, a thick blanket or down comforter too, it is difficult to push those down between the mattress and the foot board. That was the most surprising. For my bedding set it would have been nice to have another 1” of play. It is also very well made and was easy to put together but it takes two people. There were some minor scratches on the head and foot board but a little permanent marker fixed those up quickly. We love it and the fact that we saved about $100 when purchasing this bed in comparison to others that were exactly alike but perhaps a little longer In length was worth the savings.

Now that it is assembled, this is a nice sturdy bed. But one would think that at the price and for the brand that the workmanship would be better. I am mechanically inclined and was able to put all the pieces together myself, but not without some problems. The holes in the round pieces weren't drilled, they were punched then threaded. It took some effort to get the bolts into the holes and started so they could be tightened. The bracket on one of the legs for the headboard did not squarely line up so the short bolt provided wouldn't even engage. Luckily I had a longer bolt from the bed this replaced so was able to make the connection. The bed does look good though, and does not move or squeek.

Perfect for our guest room!

Purchased and was slightly delayed in opening and putting together. When opened, bed is in about 50 pieces, sorted all parts in accordance with instructions and ready to assemble. However, NO hardware! Amazon asked if we could purchase hardware from hardware store... said no, impossible, please return. They said to initiate return online and they would contact me for pick up.... still waiting amazon. Please come get these 50 pieces of tubular metal out of my garage and refund my $300.

I was worried after reading mixed reviews about this bed. It has exceeded my expectations! All parts were present and all it required was an Allen wrench that was included with parts. I put it together all by myself!! It was that easy. The color was as I had expected. The only minor things - there was a small dent on the footboard. It does not effect the use of the bed and is not noticeable with the comforter in place. Also the box spring does not fit snuggly in the base. There is a gap of about 2 inches. It does not effect usage but seems strange. Would highly recommend! Great value for the money!

I love this bed frame but I'm unhappy with the fact I only had it for 1 yr and the frame under the mattress for the supports broke off and bent. I'm not a big person (5'1 135 lbs) , my ex was about 280 lbs so that bent the frame I think, but it still shouldn't break like this.. The rest of the frame is sturdy and great quality on the head board and footboard but the actual mattress supports are made very cheap and not made for heavier people at all. Not sure how or if I can even get replacements for the frame pieces or not.

The hardware kit was not included and I was given a refund for the hardware kit to get my own. Can't give any stars.

The pics on here are nice but this bed is more beautiful than the pics can show. It was easy to put together and is well made. Very happy with our purchase.
