great customer service!
The kit comes with a spare putty set. I didn't get a good impression of my back teeth on my first try. On the second try, I activated the putty by mixing the two elements and then got distracted by someone at the front door. When I returned to the putty some minutes later, it had already hardened (just as the instructions said it would). I had used up all the putty and had no functional impression of my teeth. It was absolutely my fault. Nevertheless, the company promptly sent me yet another batch of putty at no extra charge.***I was impressed by how friendly and accommodating the customer service was. ***I succeeded in getting a good impression of my teeth. The finished mouthgaurd I received is good quality and fits well. I will order my next mouthgaurd from this company. Still, I have three minor complaints:1. Initial plasticy smell and taste. This went away after a night's soak in Polident.2. Drool. The thickness of the mouth guard caused me to drool for the first month. In the long run, the thickness will probably translate into greater longevity. All of my previous mouthgaurds have, however, met their ends by being pressed into service as extremely expensive chew toys for my dog, or as left items on hotel nightstands. I aspire to actually wearing out a mouth guard.3. My wisdom teeth aren't covered. I don't think this actually matters much in terms of function. Also, it's not a broadly relevant detail as most people don't have intact wisdom teeth. Still, I've had dentist-made mouth guards that hugged around the back of my wisdom teeth and that seemed to make the piece fit more comfortably in my mouth.Overall, this has been the best option I've tried for preventing damage to my teeth. I've tried cheap drugstore mouth guards: unusablely uncomfortable. The expensive dentist made mouth guards are great but not for the price. I would like to try this thing called something like *relaxation*. The idea is that you chill out enough in life that you can sleep without grinding your teeth to nubs. Until then, I'm all about this night guard.

Fantastic product for a fraction o the cost
I had an old hard night guard that was probably 20 years old or more. I have had dental work so it was barely staying in at night (and it was rather gross looking) but I was not willing to pay the $800 for a new one. As that cost seemed rather ridiculous and my dentist was pushing for a bottom one, which I did not want since I am used to the top. After a on-line search to find what is available and recommended I found the ProTeeth Guard. For less than a fourth of what the doctor wanted so with the 110% guarantee I figured I could not go wrong with trying it and ordered it.The mold kit arrived promptly and when I did my first mold of the top teeth I thought the mold was a bit off so I redid it with the extra mold material and mold they provide. I was not sure what to send back, so I called and got a very helpful person who said to send all 3 molds and they would use the one they thought was best.Got my night guard back in the mail and it fits perfectly. It is comfortable and doesn't fall out. I like the bottom teeth indentations that it has on it. Overall it is extremely comfortable and I am very happy. I am not sure how long this will last but it seems sturdy and I am hoping it will last at least a few years.I would definitely use ProTeeth again if I need a new one for any reason in the future.

Great fit
This is my second mouth guard from this company. I was very satisfied with both my first and this guards.

Not for those with a strong gag reflex
I would give the product a better rating, but I didn’t actually get to try it. Seems like it was a high quality product, but I have a strong gag reflex that bothers me when I have to get dental X-rays. For this product they send a lot to do a mold of your teeth and you have to hold it in your mouth for several minutes (3-4 I think). I couldn’t keep the tray in for more than a few seconds without a strong reaction. Company refunded my money. If you have the same issue, you may not want to try this.

Absolutely Would Buy Again
Just came here to echo most of the other reviews. It's a slightly intimidating process, but packaging and directions are simple, clear, and easy to follow. Watching an instructional video someone posted was helpful backup. I have to say, I truly did not think I would be able to get the molds in my mouth - they do seem huge - but calm breathing and visualization lessened my anxiety and I was determined to do it. I can be done. Bit of slight wiggling to 'unstick' them and get them out, but so, so easy, really. The molds worked beautifully and the results when I got the guard were perfection - I could not have asked for a better night guard. I have used it every night since I got it. I wish I'd done this sooner - and hadn't held on to using my nasty, old, cracked one. Gross. I just didn't believe the same professional quality could be achieved DIY, but this one is really amazing - and at a third of the price my dentist just quoted me for theirs. I know there are now lots of companies that do this, but this one delivers on every level - quality, service, and price. Worth every penny.

It's really helping
I would give the guard 5 stars except I've never had a guard before. Nothing to compare. I have muscle spasms in my face from the grinding. That travels down my neck, into my shoulder etc. I've used the guard faithfully along with other modalities and it seems to be helping. Enough so, that I ordered a super thin model for daytime grinding and clenching. It seems to fit fairly well. Can't say that I love the taste and when you first put it in it's a bit intrusive. I saved at least $1,000 using this lab. BTW, the process of making the impression is well explained in the materials you receive in your email. Thanks
