how wide is the ribbon?

the ribbons are all different lengths and widths. Many are 1/2-3/4 inch wide. Great assortment of colors and sizes.

With such a wide range in reviews, could someone that has recently purchase this tell me if it is a one star or five star item?

I’d give it 3 1/2 stars because it is beautiful, but some of it is pretty delicate. But on the same token it is silk and silk is delicate. I love it.

How long are the strips?

They are sewn together so the strips, colors and length varies. One strip can have several kinds and colors of silk sewn together. You can take those strips, sew them together and have it as long as you want. I love it. The silk is beautiful and opens up lots of creative ideas. I use it as ribbon on packages, etc

how wide are the strips?

About 1 1/4 inch. Its been awhile since I purchased and don't have anymore. I do remember that it was wrinkled and joined a lot.
