Un pajarito que va en busca de su mamá es el argumento de esta divertida adaptación del clásico de P. D. Eastman, ahora en un nuevo formato de libro cartón más grande, perfecto para bebés y niños pequeños. A baby bird goes in search of his mother in this hilarious Board Book adaptation of P.D. Eastman's classic story, perfect for babies and toddlers. Review: Great choice for your bilingual baby and toddler - One of the best translated to Spanish books we own. It flows very well. The translation is almost perfect and both my kids have loved having it read to them hundreds of times. The only wording I would change is on the page where the baby bird falls out of the nest. "..fuera del nido salio y hasta abajo cayo' [instead of "llego'"]" but this minor mistake is easily corrected on the fly while I read. I've read it soooo many times I could probably recite it by heart. Make sure you bounce your baby on your knee a bit when the egg is jumping in the nest and add voices to the animals "...no puedo ser tu mamaaaaa, soy una vaaaaca. Dijo la vaca" [sounding like a cow]. They'll absolutely love that. It is a beauty of a book for preschoolers in both languages. I've been disappointed a few times with poor translations of great children's books, but this one is a winner. A good tip is to search desertcart for translators that have done a good job on books such as this one. Some of them are: Desiree Marquez (this book), Yanitzia Canetti (Yurtle the turtle, Red fish blue fish...), Aida E. Marcuse (Green eggs and ham). The last one I still read to my 2nd grader! Review: Great little book with good Spanish translation - My kids have the original hard cover English book as well as a smaller cardboard one. This cardboard version is a good translation and the graphics are equally good. I read the Spanish one and my girls read the English one together. Great story, too.

Baby’s favorite book
We read this book almost every night! I wish it was in English and Spanish. My son likes to pick it out when it’s his dad’s turn to read even though he only speaks English. It’s such a sweet and quick little read

Great book
This is a great book. Nicely repetitive, to help language development. A sweet story, both of my children have enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to sharing it with my baby number 3.

Great story, well translated and nicely illustrated / Un cuento adorable, bien traducido e ilustrado
This has become one of my daughters favourite books, if not her favourite. The illustrations are clear, the story simple but engaging and it would appear to be a good translation in Spanish (note that I have not read the original version in English). It is not awfully original but it is a classic.
