Messiah: The First Judgement (Chronicles Of Brothers: Volume 2): Book Two [Wendy Alec] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Messiah: The First Judgement (Chronicles Of Brothers: Volume 2): Book Two Review: Great plot, great characters and action-packed Christian fiction series - Summary: "The First Judgement" continues the story of Heaven, Hell, and all of the beings in between. In this second installment, readers follow the Messiah's birth, life, and crucifixion from an angelic point of view in one story thread. In another story thread, a royal Arabian family finds their lives intertwined with a Hebrew prophet who is unlike any person they have ever met. In yet another story thread, the de Vere family is a filthy rich family that is growing in power, money,....and family problems. Pros: 1. Excellent plot development. Wendy Alec is able to successfully interweave 3 stories in excellent fashion that infuses this often-told story of good versus evil with enthusiasm. In other words, even though I knew what was going to happen (good would win), I wanted to read HOW the good would win. Alec maintains all of the characters from "The Fall of Lucifer", but gives them more depth and more investment into the story. (Read "The Fall of Lucifer" first, if you haven't read this book). 2. Excellent characters. "The First Judgement" uses a lot of angels and other-worldly beings who are often treated as passive agents of divine will. in "The First Judgement", this isn't the case. The angels are given a great deal of emotional depth without losing face. The human characters (Zahi, Jotapa,Aretas, and more) all display consistent but strong personalities which help add more layers to the story. 3. Action-packed. This book features more action than the first book in the series. Cons There really wasn't a bad thing, but I do want to note one thing" 1. Creative license- "The First Judgement", follows the Gospel narrative pretty well with some exceptions. One example, Jesus appears to Jotapa, an Arabian princess, upon rising from death. The disciples are only briefly mentioned and there is no mention of the Last Supper. What is mentioned is the trial with Pontius Pilate (only the final judgement), Judas' betrayal, and Lucifer being bound. If you are a fan of Christian fiction who is open to reading about battles between angels, the historical Jesus, and more, this is definitely a series to consider. I love the series and have read the first book twice. I now have read this book twice and plan to read the next one in the series as soon as I can get my hands on it! Notes: 1. You need to be familiar with the basics of Christian belief in order to fully understand the book. The book is compelling enough without that foundation, but you will have a deeper experience if you do. 2. The De Vere family doesn't appear a lot in the book. The chief focus is on setting up the major Heavenly players for the battle that begins in "Son of Perdition". Review: Intruiging - Love love love this book! So intriguing. The writer's imagination pulls readers into the story, giving readers an opportunity to imagine what might have happened in the spiritual realm when Jesus Christ walked the earth. Not to compare this with The Bible (since this is classified as fictional work), but where the Bible tells the story from the world's point of view (that is, the physical realm), this tells it from a spiritual point of view (the spiritual realm). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the third installment. Wonderfully written, Wendy Alec! I'm a fan!

Order one for you and a few more for your friends!
I could not wait for this book and the third book of the Chronicles of Brothers to come in the mail, and now I am really watching and waiting for the 4th book. I will challenge you to see how close and real this is not only to the Word of God, but to what exactly is happening on our earth right now. I promise you, you WILL want to share this with others...I have already bought three sets for my family! They too are sharing this with believers and non-believers of God. It is a tool that can help them understand..."WHY". Get ready to recieve a Blessing from gaining Wisdom and Knowledge but most of all a light will go on not only in your heart but your mind also. You will finally Understand "WHY" our world has and will be getting out of control.God Bless.

Critique of Chronicle of Brothers Book 1
I think this book is AMAZING! Not only does it paint a vivid picture of what might have occurred in Heaven between the archangels preceding and during Lucifer's fall, but it just provides some insight and thought into things that you never thought about. It tells a Biblical story in a very entertaining but plausible way. Once I picked it up, I had difficulty putting it down! Just Awesome!

Great story!
I love Wendy Alec's novels. That being said, Wendy Alec is not a very good fiction novel author. Her use of rather strange diction and word choices often leave new readers very confused. She is also overly repetitive in her descriptions. For example, she describes the beautiful scenes of heaven with very unique (and sometimes weird) adjectives, and then proceeds to use the same words to describe the same scenery a few chapters down. Her writing is clearly not very polished. That being said, this story is a story that cannot be found elsewhere. It is mind boggling and revelating. For those readers that are familiar with the biblical allegories, these books will be full of great surprises. For those readers that are reading it as a simple fiction novel, it should still be fun and engaging. I would strongly recommend these books to everyone, but not without a warning of possible discomfort at the style of her writing.

Straight out of the Bible
I love reading Wendy Alec. However, somehow I missed this one. It is as good as the other 3 I have read. The content is based on the Bible but in a fictional setting. I canโt wait to read โEnd of Daysโ. Read all her books. You will love them. Iโm glad she is back from her illness to add to her great saga. More please Wendy!

Amazing series.
As a follower of bible prophecy and history I am so impressed by Wendy's ability to portray the war going on around us in spiritual realm and still show the crazy day to day world we live in. Best books I ever read and Wendy is incredible author. Made bible come alive for me in a way I have never known.

Lucifer falls and thinks He can find a way back...not realizing that at the moment Eve & Adam at the forbidden fruit, that the Godhead put their redemption into motion. Christos hold the keys. Cannot wait for Book 3.

Messiah - The First Judgement is a powerful document of faith that resonates with me now, even a couple of weeks after purchase and completion of the novel. I first read The Fall of Lucifer Book One back in 2008, which I now know to be its second print, so I've since read Son of Perdition Book Three and A Pale Horse Book Four. First Judgement has led me to rediscover the series and it remains the only body of work I've truly taken to. As an Artist & Writer (and major reader) the Harry Potter movies got my attention more for what they did to revolutionise the British Film Industry, but Twilight and Hunger Games never held appeal. With Narnia and Middle-Earth now adapted, I firmly believe Wendy Alec's work will surpass them all, not only bringing renewed debate Dan Brown could only dream, but real debate on matters of faith, conspiracy, history, war, politics, religion, news-media - the many subjects that I too contend in my projects. Messiah - The First Judgement and other books of the Chronicles series are truly engaging with strong characterisations, emotive source material, powerful narrative arcs, chapters that can be dialogue-driven from one to the next, with truths and hidden truths that urge one to read more, to enjoy life, and truly be thankful.
