This stuff works! Made my dog a little drowsy, but better than her anxiety!
Whoa, it actually works! My dog: A Boarder Collie/German Sheppard mix that has always been a little anxious and whinny on car trips. She has been attacked by pit bulls on four separate occasions (each case unprovoked), giving her a legitimate case of PTSD. I live in an area frequented by blasts from avalanche control, which my pup now associates to the gun shot that blew the last pit off of her. She will hide in a corner or the shower (where she hates getting baths) and shake uncontrollably. Whatever triggers her fear will leave her terrified and at best, curled up on her bed for the rest of the day. I was looking into CBD oil for the solution (very expensive and needs to be used daily for full effect) when a coworker recommend this product. My coworker uses it to calm her dog on frequent road trips. After geeking out by analyzing the price per dose between this product and high quality CBD, Happy Traveler treats is much more attractive. It is based on your dog's weight and I give my 50lb dog 3 treats (I believe 75 come in each bag). While CBD may also be an amazing product for my dogs mental health, manufactures recommend daily dosing with multiple doses through the day, which makes it very expensive and intensive. This Happy Traveler product is dosed on an "As Needed" basis. On five separate occasions, I have seen this product calm my dog. Her shaking stops in about 20 minutes and she begins to interact with me again. After about 45 minutes, I can take her for a drive or a walk. It does make her a bit drowsy but doesn't prevent her from doing light activity. On one particular occasion, I was planning on taking her on a mellow backcountry skiing tour (yet still a significant energy expenditure for a dog). I gave her two, instead of three treats, and she did fine. I will be buying more!

Magical for our 8 month old Australian Shepherd puppy with severe car sickness trouble
I cant recall where I bought this so this is not a verified purchase. I got online and bought it but can't find where that was. From now on I will buy it from Amazon because I order frequently from Amazon. We bought a beautiful Australian Shepherd puppy. We have other Aussies. We love to take our dogs with us in the car or truck often times. BUT from day one we were warned by the breeder that Ashur got car sick quite easily. Well, THAT was an understatement. Within less than a minute he would start drooling, his eyes looked as if he was drugged and he would vomit EVERYTHING. He hated getting in the car and truck. We tried small trips as the vet suggested but that did not help at all. AND Ashur became so afraid of the car and the truck because he obviously associated the misery. He would run and hide if we were getting the car or truck ready to go. I bought this product, and I gave him the high side of the dose for his weight category. IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC. ABSOLUTELY NO CAR SICKNESS, HE SAT UP ALERT AND HAPPY FOR THE ENTIRE RIDE TO TOWN AND BACK, ABOUT 14 MILES. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS PRODUCT I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT IT! Also, my daughter is an herbalist. She is very knowledgeable about the use of herbs and essential oils for people and for pets. She was impressed with ingredients which made me even more pleased I had purchased it.

Unsure of there effectiveness.
The smell is terrible. I thought something was rotten or my dogs did there business in the car. i wish my dogs would have looked as high as the two dogs in the advertisement. we took a three day road trip from Upstate NY to Southern Cali. My boys were great. Did not act out one bit but i believe i just have great dogs. They are both well behaved puppies a year old husky and yorkie. The husky eats eveythinh he finds on the floor and i had to mask the treat with peanut butter. Don't know overall if they were great due to training or this "treats" that is why i give three stars.

Does the trick. Will probably stick with the tablets or capsules next time.
I'd used the tablet version previously and always does the trick with our dogs (two 65-70lb mixed lab/shepard/terrier). i.e., calms them, helps them sleep for car rides or stressful/stimulating situations. I feel you have to use too many of these soft chews to equal what a tablet can do. I had thought the soft chews would be easier to give to them (vs. I need to crush up the hard ones into their food). But I think it may be more economical to do the tablets.

Yes, they work
Iโve been using these for my older beagle for some time and they consistently work well for him. Based on his weight, he should get 3-4, but I find it takes 5-6 to get the desired effect. Usually works within 15 minutes. Doesnโt make him excessively groggy, but he does usually lie down and sometimes goes to sleep, which is his default mode anyway when he isnโt anxious. Yes, they do smell. However, my dog, who will eat anything but fresh produce, happily wolfs them down. I keep gabapentin for extremely high stress situations, but for normal everyday anxiety, these do the job.

Never Works
This product has never worked on either of my two dogs. I have two mutts--one is an 8 year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix who is not at all hyper or anxious but gets nervous when we travel in the car. It has never calmed her down. The other is an old (we don't know her age, but she's proably 12-14) Golden Retriever mix who gets very nervous during thunderstorms, when we travel in the car, and when there are loud noises. This prodcut has never even lessened her anxiety, and she continues to whine and pant heavily on the 2 hour drive to my in-laws' house. With the combination of ingredients in these capsules, I would at least expect them to lessen at least one of my dogs' anxiety issues with travelling. I am very disappointed.

Get this if you have spazzy furry family
I have tried many things to help calm my two cats and one dog. We have tried the bachs calming drops, cat hormone diffuser, lavender aroma therapy....They just didn't do the job on their own. After splitting one capsule between the two cat food bowls and adding some nutritional yeast to help hide the odor, I immediately saw a difference in my cats after they ate. I have one cat who has licked his rear and legs bald from nerves. I haven't seen him obsessively cleaning himself. I have another cat who used to be feral and she doesn't hide or hiss as much. And my whiny dog has chilled out a bit and I only added one capsule to her food. She weighs around 50lbs. I'll be adding two capsules during this next week to see how she does. I still have the cat hormone diffuser in the living room. I think in my case I need to use a few different methods to help my furry family relax a bit. Update - 4/14/14: I upped the dosage for my dog to two capsules in the morning and she was less whiny for half the day. When I come home from work she wasn't spazzed out in her crate. She came out quietly. Also when we went on a road trip she did less whining when we had to leave her in the car. We also took the crate so she could have a better sense of security. I've kept the dosage the same for the cats (adding one capsule each feeding to the food.) I stopped adding nutritional yeast to cover up the taste and they still eat it (my dog will pretty much eat anything). Our obsessive cat is actually growing fur on his rear and legs. We are also still doing the cat hormone diffuser and flea treatment. I also started making my own similar herbal mix using the same ratio listed on the bottle. Since we use it in great quantity it was getting a bit expensive. Buying the herbs from a local herb shop is just slightly less than buying the pills. I measured out how much was in each pill and figured out about how much to give of the ground herb mix. I'm still keeping the pills around for when we travel since they are more convenient.

IT WORKS
This is the most amazing product. Our puppy got sick in the car every time we went out. We traveled half way across Canada from Ontario to Newfoundland and she didn't get sick once. She was pleasant and a joy to travel with. Ty Ty

Very good
My Shih Tzu has a lot of anxiety in our car and pretty sensitive stomach, but these "cookies" don't give them any stomach issues, and make him pretty chill. Very nice product!

Hard for my cat to eat
I mean they worked a little bit but I had to mash them up in the food because my cat hates the taste... The smell is quite potent so he doesn't eat it all. I use these for car rides and if he eats enough he'll be decently quiet for our 4 hr trip we do on my days off. But he howls non stop if he doesn't eat the whole thing. Just wish they were flavoured or something...
