This is some good stuff. I discovered it on Youtube and wanted to give it a try. I don't have acne but wanted it for aging or anti aging! It not harsh but my skin appears smooth and my pores are not as visible with the gel on. I like it better than the retina a rx it's not harsh but seems to work as well. I am even using it under my eyes with no krinkles like I get using the prescription retin a. I'm going to keep using it and save some money from the Rx.

Differin Adapalene Gel works incredibly well for clearing acne when used correctly. I was so eager that I tried using it daily at first, and it ended up drying out my skin. Incorporating it into my routine every 3–4 days has made a huge difference, especially on my forehead and cheeks, where breakouts cleared up noticeably. It’s not as effective on the chin and around the lips, but overall it’s a fantastic treatment when used right and with moisturizer

This is irritating if you don’t use it with a moisturizer or apply it to the corners of your mouth. But if you spot treat and use very sparingly where you have wrinkles, it’s actually a very gentle formula and the advantage it has over retinol’s is that you can wear it during the day

Different is not for me but I am very sensitive to topicals. Couldn’t make it through the purging. May come back to try again another day. Package was great. Easy to dispense!

THE PURGE IS REAL! I am 41 years old, and seem to have suffered from late-onset maskne. I hadn’t been pimple prone since my younger years, and didn’t seem to have issues with breakouts until covid went endemic. But I’m on immunosuppressants and work in a hotel in NYC. So, while sticking to masking, I got stuck with maskne. Enter differin. Yeah, I’d seen the ads, but I’m not a teen. I knew about retinoids and retinols but hadn’t used them. I wasn’t fighting aging, but was fighting sudden onset cystic acne, and losing the battle of absentmindedly picking and making them worse. It’s been 30 days. Top photo was at 3 weeks, bottom is 1 month. No makeup, no filter. I regret not taking a before photo, but I didn’t even want my phone to remember what a mess things were under that mask. By the end of the 1st week I started peeling. Week 2 I had every awful kind of pimple arise. Week 3 and I was about to give up. I guess I didn’t grasp how it gets worse before it gets better. (Was hoping for ‘it stays the same and then improves.’) Ugly, awful, uncomfortable, gross. And then seemingly overnight… voila! The texture of my skin has improved overall, and my husband who’s never seen me with acne before, was legit surprised by how soft my face is. New pimples don’t seem to be leaving behind dark spots as much. This stuff seems to make your pores puke out their guts and then peels it off like it never happened. For the past year I’ve all of a sudden developed acne on my chin area that just doesn’t seem to go away. I started using Differin around 2 weeks ago ( first pic), and it really is clearing! (2nd pic is today) I did experience the “purging” that people mention, so I would agree to trust the process that it may work slow. And use a very gentle moisturizer after it dries! I have been applying it every night.
