CAPTAIN FAWCETT Lavender Moustache Wax 15 ml

I very rarely review any of my purchases, but this one warrants it. This wax is fantastic! I’ve tried several other waxes, very highly rated ones too, and they were nowhere near as good as this stuff. I’ve tried for months to tame my mustache hair. They tell you if you just keep pushing it, it will become trained. This was not the case for mine. Months of “training” and no success. So I then moved to trying wax. Most of them failed very quickly. Some might have held an hour or so. This stuff though, holds all day and it’s amazing! It’s a much stiffer wax and yes, it has a higher price tag, but it’s well worth it. I will absolutely be purchasing this again. Absolutely amazing!

It arrived a day late, I didn't realize it was coming all the way from the UK, so a day late is ok with me. I've had the jar for a day now and I'm already very happy. The hold is very good and the fragrance, while not overpowering, is definitely and clearly sandalwood. I happen to think that's great. Love the text on the jar "tested on humans," "keeping a stiff upper lip, regardless," "be a good chap, the dear planet requires our help, cap and jar should be recycled." I'd like it for that alone, but I love it most for the fragrance. It's quite stiff to get out of the jar and you'll need a comb to apply it properly, but that's the point, to have an easily groomable upper lip.

This wax has a pleasant smell and is quite easy to apply. Scrape a little out with the back of your thumbnail, and it softens very quickly when you rub it between your fingers. It doesn't have a massive amount of hold like Firehouse Tacky does, but it is substantially easier to work with than that product and doesn't ever cause clumping. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Only gave it 4 stars because the description very clearly states it is 16ml, but it is only 15ml. What you receive is a plastic bag that says 16ml on it, and inside the bag the bottle that is both labeled from the factory as 15ml and also has a sticker on the bottom that says 15ml.

This wax smells wonderful, has a neutral taste, and works exactly as you want it to! I had previously been using a generic wax from the grocery store that was very greasy, and then tried Firehouse Tacky, which was way to waxy. Captain Fawcetts worked perfectly for my mustache in Seattle. However I visited the country for spring break and had to use the Firehouse, I think which wax works for you depends just as much on climate as it does your personal hair type. My beard is quite soft naturally so I don't need anything waxy and the greasier stuff causes me to break out.

Title says it all. It’s only .5 oz. I saw that thought I would try it anyway. But pretty much like all the rest of them on the market. Like the scent though.

Good hold not too stiff

While the scent is very nice, that’s where it stays at. Performance is poor. It’s easy to put on, however does not hold whatsoever. Just left me with grease and no hold.

I use this wax almost every day to control my moustache, now that I've let it grow out and part it to the sides from below my nose. It should be scraped out of the container with the back of a thumb or finger nail a little at a time. I need to take it out six to eight times and warm it between my index finger and thumb just until it becomes transparent right before application to a small section of my mustache. I use the Expedition Strength wax only on the tips of the moustache and right above my top lip as those are the most difficult areas to control Regular beard balms do not possess the ultra-stickiness of Capt. Fawcett's and leave my beard with a plastered appearance. When combed out and touched into place, this product looks normally combed, not greasy and gooey.

Acompaña a la perfección su cera para la barba con el mismo nombre, conocida por su particular perfume creado en colaboración con John Petrucci. Antes de nada, es una cera semi blanda ☝🏻, con eso quiero decir que no nos dejará el bigote tieso como una rama pero lo deja muy bien arreglado con ligera flexibilidad. Si lo que queremos, es que nuestro "handle bar" se quede tieso como una rama de roble, es mejor elegir "Expedition strength" debla misma gama de productos. El perfume que predomina es el mismo que de Nebula Cera de barba, bergamota, cedro, pimienta negra pero esta vez con un toque dulce que puede recordar a las palomitas dulces. Es un perfume particular, diría que es un poco adictivo para los que les gusta y acompaña a la perfección la cera de barba Nebula debla misma serie de productos. Como con todo en la vida, hay que aprender un poco trabajar con esta cera porque no rodas son iguales ni tampoco sirven al mismo propósito.😉 Yo recomendaría siempre trabajar con la cantidad mínima posible e ir añadiendo según necesidad., recordando en el caso de cosméticos de calidad siempre "menos es más" 😉. Es decir, empezamos rascando con la uña de pulgar una cantidad de dos granos de arroz y esta la calentamos con paciencia ☝🏻 entre índice y el pulgar. Después aplicamos desde centro del labio hacía a las puntas, acto seguido con ayuda de un peine peinamos y esparcimos la cera por todo el bigote siempre desde el centro hacia las puntas, podemos trabajar con tranquilidad porque el propio calor del cuerpo permite tener la cera moldeable durante un tiempo. Después según nuestro gusto retorcimos el bigote y le damos la forma que a nosotros nos gusta. La cera aguanta muy bien unas diez horas, obviamente tenemos que desistir en tocarnos el bigote porque con eso solo eliminaríamos el producto. Yo la recomendaría como una cera para climas templandos desde otoño hasta la primavera, con altas temperaturas de verano la cera (casi ninguna) nos aguanta bien. Por eso, sí queremos una que aguante el verano en España para eso Expedition strength, para todas las demás épocas esta es perfecta.

Product is good, nice scent, strong hold.

As a first-time moustache wax user, I thought I’d just neaten things up a bit. Instead, I opened the tin and was hit with a scent so majestic, I swear I heard sitars playing softly in the background. I applied it cautiously. My moustache responded like it had been waiting centuries for this moment. Since then, people have leaned in suspiciously close, whispering compliments they pretend I can’t hear. I’ve begun walking slower, just to let the scent trail do its work. Birds chirp louder when I pass. Dogs sit at attention. It holds like a gentleman’s handshake, firm but elegant. I fear I’ve crossed into a dimension I can’t return from. 10/10 going to buy again.

Ottima tenuta, da scaldare bene nelle mani, profumo gradevole e non invasivo. Prezzo un po alto anche basta poco per ottenere il risultato. Scatola di metallo carino e ci sta nel taschino di qualunque pantalone. Rimane per ora l'unico prodotto valido provato fino ad ora. Lo Consiglio.
