Worked great for me
I poured two bottles into a small mason jar. Placed a piece of steel into the solution. It turned black, Just as expected. Note that the instructions do not mention stainless steel, I tired a polish 318 and it didn’t work well.

Snake oil?
Doesn't work on stainless steel. I let it soak for 24 hours on a steel watch strap and there was no change at all. It doesn't even tell you on the bottle how long to wait. Waste of money

No complaints!
Used it on clean steel, works just fine. Sanded smooth and then used acetone to clean. No complaints.

Disappointed
Like many other reviews, it didn't work. Tested on a few new 18-8 stainless screws. Also tested cleaning with acetone first. Time did not make a difference. -edit- It did work on brass. Bumped it up 1 star.

Didn't work on stainless steal.
I probably don't know what I'm doing but this product did nothing to watch cases.
