I purchased this after seeing a spiritual teacher use one to begin our meditations. It's compact and portable. Easy to use with one strike. Sound resonates nicely. The mallet tucks between the chime & wood base. Design is clean and simple. Looks exactly as the picture. Price is well worth it.

I am so happy with this chime. It is a beautiful tone and one good tap leads to a nice long sound that fades after about 10 seconds. Highly recommended! Perfect way to change the vibe of the room for meditation and a mental reset.

This "hand chime" is about 7 inches long, or 17.8cm. The majority of the weight is in the metal bar, which gives a clear, resonant sound with a powerful harmonic quality. It comes with an attached wooden holder and a striker. It's a lovely piece, very solid, and can be hand held by most people or used on a table top. It comes assembled and can be used right out of the box.

As a teacher, classroom management can be an interesting challenge to overcome. After seeking advice from a fellow teacher, I was recommended to try this chime. My friend had shared that she had been using it for years, and had more success managing her elementary students. As a secondary educator, I was a little skeptical...but decided to give it a try. Much to my amazement, not only has using this chime worked SUCCESSFULLY for helping to keep noise to a bare minimum in my classroom, but it has also sparked the interest of my highschoolers! (Many have reported that they think the chime is "cool!") I cannot count the amount of times students have asked if they could ring the chime if the class gets too loud when working on assignments! (haha) My students like the sound, and it INSTANTLY catches their attention. I like how the ring lingers in the air, and how the volume of the chime can be monitored by how hard one strikes it. After using this chime for 1 and 1/2 weeks, I have noticed that volume control is no longer an issue in my classroom. Students recognize that the chime serves as a warning of volume getting too high, and they automatically begin to quiet down as soon as they see it. If you are a teacher who is in need of additional reinforcements to monitor classroom volume, I HIGHLY recommend that you give this a try! You'll be amazed at the results! :)

Great for kids of all ages. I use it as a Preschool teacher to call kids’ attention or play games with them, to put the, to have a quiet time, to meditate/yoga, or calm them down. I also use it on my music time for children at my church. They love to have a time to hit the instrument hard and soft. Those kids are from 2-12 and all of them fight for a turn to use it. I haven’t use it on babies but I bet it will be great with them too. You have infinite ways to use it with kids. I highly recommend it if you have children. The only negative thing is that the little mallet (not sure how to call it) is easy to fall out from its place and I have lost it several times. I wish they put a secure pin or something.

I use it to mark transitions in my day. I also use it to mark the start and/or end of a ceremony, a ritual, yoga, and meditation. The sound of the chimes is perfect.

Super Lousy quality. The tones were out of tune, the tubes were terribly scratched. Had requested for a refund but was rejected because request was sent in after 48 hours. Had been late in opening the parcel as nursing my sick dog, and was informed return was rejected.
