I purchased this after seeing a spiritual teacher use one to begin our meditations. It's compact and portable. Easy to use with one strike. Sound resonates nicely. The mallet tucks between the chime & wood base. Design is clean and simple. Looks exactly as the picture. Price is well worth it.

I am so happy with this chime. It is a beautiful tone and one good tap leads to a nice long sound that fades after about 10 seconds. Highly recommended! Perfect way to change the vibe of the room for meditation and a mental reset.

This "hand chime" is about 7 inches long, or 17.8cm. The majority of the weight is in the metal bar, which gives a clear, resonant sound with a powerful harmonic quality. It comes with an attached wooden holder and a striker. It's a lovely piece, very solid, and can be hand held by most people or used on a table top. It comes assembled and can be used right out of the box.

As a teacher, classroom management can be an interesting challenge to overcome. After seeking advice from a fellow teacher, I was recommended to try this chime. My friend had shared that she had been using it for years, and had more success managing her elementary students. As a secondary educator, I was a little skeptical...but decided to give it a try.Much to my amazement, not only has using this chime worked SUCCESSFULLY for helping to keep noise to a bare minimum in my classroom, but it has also sparked the interest of my highschoolers! (Many have reported that they think the chime is "cool!") I cannot count the amount of times students have asked if they could ring the chime if the class gets too loud when working on assignments! (haha) My students like the sound, and it INSTANTLY catches their attention. I like how the ring lingers in the air, and how the volume of the chime can be monitored by how hard one strikes it.After using this chime for 1 and 1/2 weeks, I have noticed that volume control is no longer an issue in my classroom. Students recognize that the chime serves as a warning of volume getting too high, and they automatically begin to quiet down as soon as they see it. If you are a teacher who is in need of additional reinforcements to monitor classroom volume, I HIGHLY recommend that you give this a try! You'll be amazed at the results! :)

This chime has a lovely sound, but the thread holding the chimes in place breaks somewhat easily, and it seems impossible to repair it yourself in a way that works. Every material I've tried stretches out over just a day or so, plus, it's nailed into place on each end, so you're stuck with a knot showing. I reached out to the company to see if I could order appropriate replacement thread, because their website claims you can (albeit far more than you'd need, and for more money than it would cost to just buy a new chime), but they have not replied to my email. It would seem that what they really want is for you to have to order a new chime every year or so . So order this if that's what you're willing to do, but know upfront that that's an expense you will incur.Update: after a week or so, the company responded to my email, asking me to send them a photo of my chime so they could tell which one it was. After I did that, they emailed me back "Thank you for the picture! I can send a replacement to you, we will treat this as a warranty issue. What address would you like the replacement sent to?" Can't get much better service than that! So I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 4. The product itself is wonderful and merits 5 stars, but I've subtracted a star because I could wish that the cord wasn't as relatively fragile as it is, and that the chime would be repairable if the cord breaks.

I bought this in 2019 and used to just give the chime a tap as I walked their the room. Recently I started using it for space clearings I am doing for other people and I think it really helps break up stagnant energy!

For those who appreciate alternative ways to relax and meditate: I gave this as a present and it was enthusiastically received! It is exactly as described and seen in the pictures.

I use it to mark transitions in my day. I also use it to mark the start and/or end of a ceremony, a ritual, yoga, and meditation. The sound of the chimes is perfect.

Super Lousy quality. The tones were out of tune, the tubes were terribly scratched.Had requested for a refund but was rejected because request was sent in after 48 hours.Had been late in opening the parcel as nursing my sick dog, and was informed return was rejected.
