Karman Healthcare S-115-TP Ergonomic Ultra Lightweight Manual Wheelchair, Pearl Silver, 18" Seat Width

I bought this for my mother who has a super heavy wheelchair that she didn't choose but was given at a rehab center after a fall. I have a very compact car and didn't want to have to buy a new car to allow for a large wheelchair that I couldn't even comfortably push so I got the Karman. This one is sooooo much lighter and more compact to store, what a breeze in that respect. She finds the seat very comfortable (and she's actually a heavy-set woman, she weighs over 200lbs). Rolling her around is a pleasure compared with rolling her in the heavy Drive Medical one we have. A few reservations: My mother, who is 5'5 finds the footrests at the lowest setting to be almost too high for her and I was very uncomfortable with my feet in those footrests when I tried to use it, as I am 5'11. My only other issue is that the footrests don't snap in with ease, there's always a bit of fiddling required to get them to snap in. If you're fairly short or buying the wheelchair for someone who is, you should be very happy with this. Edited to add that I LOVE that you can pull off the seat cover and backrest cover to wash!!!

I'm 54 and always been in a wheelchair. The chair is awesome . It's comfortable to set in and light to pick up. My friends keep thanking me for buying it , because it's easier on them.

Who really wants to use this product? Nobody! But, if you have lost your mobility and you have to be transported by a husband, wife, friend or caregiver, you won’t be disappointed with the performance of this product. Very well made! Light, compact, with well designed functional brakes! Two very small complaints or suggestions. 1. the adjustable (higher or lower) foot rests. Any adjustments should be able to be made without a special tool. It’s not a big deal because once you have them set to the desired height you probably won’t need to make any future changes. 2. The foot rests should come with a detachable strap of some sort. To be used only if needed. Other than that…. It is a great chair, for product nobody wants.

Quality built. Comfortable and easy to use.

We have used this chair on one flying vacation and it performed well transporting my wife through several airport terminals. The chair is cumfortable and sitting in it while waiting to board a flight was manageable, even when there were flight delays. One note, to reset chair for use, use the flat of your hands to push down to avoid pinching fingers between seat side rails and chair frame.

Great product. Well made. It is so much better than the similar product from Drive Medical.
