INTEX Inflatable Pool Float: Pool Toy for Kids

I’m not your average pool toy purchaser. For the first 16 years of my life, I dreamed of owning this toy. Her gorgeous eyes, that lovely shape, the soft vinyl texture, it all called to me, day after day. When I was 16, I finally worked up the courage to place the order. That orca arrived, and she was everything I wanted and more. Since then, I’ve acquired a lot of pool toys. From standard mass-market rides to some of the most high-end, custom-designed inflatables you’ll ever see, the kind reserved for niche collector circles. You can see them in the photos from my birthday pool party. But right there, front and center, next to all those rare and expensive designs? The classic Intex orca. And she held her own, effortlessly. I spent my whole childhood staring longingly at this exact design. That smile. Those big, gorgeous eyes. The graceful swoop of her fins. There’s something magical about her, the way she made fun look cool and cute feel strong. Now, nearly 14 years later, she’s still unforgettable. Durable, adorable, perfectly shaped for lounging, and ridiculously photogenic. Even next to toys that cost twenty times as much, this little orca never looked out of place. She’s the inflatable equivalent of comfort food: timeless, beloved, and always welcome. Some designs become iconic for a reason. This orca is one of them. She’s got staying power. She’s got heart. And if you treat her right, she’ll always make your space feel like home, pool or no pool. Honestly, they’re like giant sea plushies. And let’s face it: everyone deserves to have an Intex orca in their life. If you’re on the fence about buying one, just do it. You’ll see what I mean.

This whale is quite good for the price point. It stays inflated well unless you add too much air which you shouldn’t in the first place. The air doesn’t seem to leak out, either. It feels very nice against my body although it is quite sticky which I’m not a fan of. I’ve been using this whale for a while and it does seem the paint has been chipping a little although it might be because I’m not cleaning it properly, I’m not sure about that. It seems like the whale can take quite a beating, as I weigh about 170lbs and it holds okay on land although I haven’t put it in water. It deflates nicely and you can compact it down and travel with it easier, and it’s fairly straightforward to use, just needing an air pump and to open up the two valves, one for body one for tail.

Christmas gift for my grandkids (two boys 8 and 6). They wanted to blow it up immediately to play with even out of the water! We took it to the pool and they had a BLAST! It has handles which helps to stabilize and easily sit/play on. We were glad we had an electric air pump to inflate fairly quickly. It's a good sized pool toy! Easily deflated to store and are looking forward to their next visit to play with again!

I bought this for my six year old to use in my parents pool. It takes up a lot of space! Be careful getting on, since it is hard to balance for small kids as they tip over and can hit their head on the side of the pool. Inflated by an air compressor because it is too big to inflate by mouth. Make sure you have a place to store it once it is filled with air, so that you do not have to deflate it. You will have to secure it to a small cars roof. it takes up the entire back of my yukon xl with the third row down! Great fun, but hard to stay on. Made very well. Durable. Great handles on each side of head to aid child in staying on. If left in the sun for even 5 minutes in our florida sun, the surface gets hot, and can burn. A splash of cool water over the top fixes that though. My son loves it and is having a blast but it may be more suitable for open water like the beach.

Very good quality! I have had this for 2 summers now, with 5-10 year olds climbing all over it constantly and it hasn't once needed to be patched yet!!!

Not like the orcas from 20 years ago. My kids had a really hard time getting on this. And even then the balance with the body and tail is not great.

L'orque se gonfle et se dégonfle dans un délai raisonnable à condition d'avoir une pompe de camping comme celles que l'on trouve à Décathlon pour gonfler les lit (ça fait les muscles). En mer, à la plage, ma fille de 9 ans monte dessus sans problème et reste assise dessus sans besoin de l'aide d'un adulte pour garder de la stabilité. Pour tout dire, même moi, parent, je m'y suis assis sans souci... Le produit est super, et à l'air solide - servi tout l'été sans problème.

Faktycznie zgodnie z opisem - nowy model 2025 w dobrej cenie. Stary się nie znudził ale mimo że ten wydaje się ciut mniejszy i tak daje rade z wagą 75kg. Fajne proste i ponadczasowe. Mnie się sprawdza od lat :)~ i stary i nowy model.
