I use this hundreds of times a day
It is nice when you buy a product that works perfectly well and you use it a lot and it does not just sit on a shelf. This product was surprisingly inexpensive and it is something I use a lot every single day. It is sleek, does not take up much room and works well, the buttons seem like they will last. You can use it to switch mouse and keyboard and you do not have to use the HDMI capabilities if you do not need them but they are there if necessary. It is a space saver and if you do not need the mouse and keyboards at exactly the same time this is a very useful and perfect solution. I have a gaming and streaming pc setup and if you have dual pc's also you will use this a lot more than you might think. It is instantaneous when you push the buttons and I have no criticisms at all concerning this product and its function.

Works great.
Just got a new PC, no monitor, keyboard or mouse, got enough of those. Also have limited desk space. So, needed to share peripherals with one of my other PCs.This works just about perfectly. I'm using a wired USB keyboard, and a Logitech wireless trackball. Both work fine from machine to machine, with the Logitech receive plugged into this switchbox. It won't work properly, however, if I install the Logitech Options software on either machine. If I do, one or the other loses some mouse capabilities, most notably wheel scrolling. Uninstalling LO from both machines solves it. LO wasn't really doing anything for me anyway. So yeah. Works. Recommended.

Works great for PCs, very dedicated seller support
simple and nice - works perfect for 2 PCs. However - do not try with MacBook, doesn't seem to fit.Very dedicated support stuff who went above and beyond to try to get it working for my MacBook as well.

dissapointed in quite a few things on this
Affordable - that's why this rec'd a 1-star. Comes with some very thin USB cables. Didn't like the fact that it didn't have a remote switcher, think I thought about this after I ordered it, but in real world use it would have been much nicer to hit a switch on my desk than to have to lean over and hit the small button on the KVM switch. The cables coming out of the front of the unit prevent it from sitting on a desk and easy cable management - also the included cables are only about 3FT so if they were on your desk they likely wouldn't be long enough to reach a PC. Occasionally the unit would seem to not catch up with typing - this was just every once in a while - definitely tolerable. Unit passed HDMI+audio so that was nice for my other PC that was not connected to my speakers - it would use the audio on my monitor. So I got past all that and had this working for several months - then one morning - after I had switched back and forth a few times like any other morning, I sat back down, hit the button to switch to my 2nd PC and nothing. Lights were on but nobody was home... Unit completely quit working. Pretty disappointing. Ordered another brand that had a remote button for switching. There are alternatives - look before purchasing and read reviews carefully... (p.s. - for anyone wondering if this works with a Das Keyboard - I use one and did not have problems - I plugged my wireless mouse USB dongle into the keyboard and plugged both of the USB cables on the keyboard into the KVM output (mouse/keyboard) - maybe the mighty Das Keyboard took it down ha ha....)

Usb ports have intermittent disconnectivity
This product works well as a display switcher, that functions well. However, the USB input for computer two had intermittent issues connecting. When I'd want to switch from pc1 to pc2, it either wouldn't work, or pc1 would retain usb control. pc1 seems to work consistently, thus 3 stars from me.

Excellent prodict. Great price.
I have two computers and one monitor. I long realized that I needed a KVM switch but just never got around to buying one. Instead I used two mice, two keyboards and switched video with the controls on the monitor . It was a clumsy setup. This past December I purchased an IOGEAR HDMI KVM switch for 70 bucks. Much to my surprise and disappointment, it doesn’t support a wireless gaming mouse so it went back to Amazon. Subsequently I learned that KVM switches do not as a rule support gaming mice. Fast forward to a four months later. I decided that something had to be done and decided to buy just a USB switch for just the keyboard. In searching Amazon for the switch I accidentally stumbled onto this device and realized that is was not much more costly than just a switch so decided to take a flier on it. I hooked it up without the gaming mouse and it performed perfectly. Soon after, just on a lark, I decided to install the unifying controller and damned if the gaming mouse didn’t work perfectly with both computers. So I wound up with a two port HDMI KVM switch that out performed the IOGEAR for almost 1/3 the cost and half the size. Amazing. In the interest of full disclosure there is one flaw with this device which I consider minor considering all of it’s good attributes. When switching screens it tends to relocate open pogroms on the number two computer only. I found that it doesn’t effect minimized programs so I programmed a key on the mouse to minimize everything on the screen and I activate it just before switching then after switching back that same mouse key will return everything just the way it was. Just incase you’re interested, the command is windows+D. In other words hold down the windows key and press the letter D. It is not case sensitive.

Well made; I wish I’d bought the bigger one!
Given the cost, it doesn’t feel like they cheaped out on materials. The buttons have a satisfying action to them, the housing is a sturdy aluminum housing. The housing could be more flush — there’s a slight lip on the front, but nothing that would cause any problemsThe controls work great. The main issue I have is that it disconnects the monitor when you switch inputs, so your displays reconfigure themselves each time. Another reviewer pointed out that this is not a difficult fix for them.Overall, my only regret is that I didn’t buy the 4-input version — I’ve already found myself in a situation where having 3 devices connected would be helpful.
