I've been coloring my hair and using heat products such as a flat iron or curling iron for a while and not too long ago I noticed when I was brushing my hair that there were lots of little broken pieces which I hadn't seen before. I decided that I needed to cut back on the processing and styling to try to restore my hair back to it's health. The problem is that as an older person the texture of my hair has already changed and I noticed that after washing it tends to be a little frizzy at least for the first day. Add to that the processing from the balayage process that my stylist use and then the heat from curling or straightening and it was no wonder that my ends were breaking off. So I felt like I needed to lay off of the coloring other than covering roots and also to forgo styling by curling or straightening whenever I could. The challenge was not looking like a clown because of the frizzing that my hair does. Now what I'm doing is after I wash my hair and it has dried on its own then I apply the drops further instructions on the packaging to my hair. Since I work from home I don't go out as much as others but when I do need to then I will straighten my hair after using heat protectant spray. I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now and I'm seeing such an improvement in my hair. They're very few pieces that are broken now. My friend who recommended it says that it works better with heat but I haven't been using my blow dryer so I can't attest to that. In addition to helping to control the frizz it smells wonderful. I will continue to buy and use this product that's for sure.

I love this product and I am so excited that Amazon is carrying it now. Much easier than having to find a salon to buy it from. Great if your hair is somewhat curly or wavy, but definitely frizzy.

This is going to sound insane but my small bottle lasted me 2 years and I have thick hair! I use probably four drops and do my hair every 4 days! This product is amazing!

This oil is very good. I read a number of reviews prior to my purchase. My hair is dry and frizzy, good hair, but not SMOOTH. After one application, (on dry hair) my hair is smooth, slick and soft. I gave it 4 stars because I do not like the scent and it is strong. Do not use alot because it will look greasy. Do 2, check it out after you brush through it then maybe a 3rd, etc. My hair is down to my belt and 4 shots was a bit to much. Don't apply on scalp...just from the ears down to ends. Its a rich product. As for the cost...if it makes my hair look great, cost is not a concern. You will like it.

Aveda oil is the best thing I have used on my hair in ages. My hair is grey/silver, dry and I have been coloring it for years. I have stripped it of any life and at times I look like I am wearing a haystack on my head. But with a great cut and advice from my Aveda stylist I started using this oil. It has brought life back to my hair and makes it shiny and soft without looking slick and greasy. It takes out the yucky kinks I get with my grey hair if I apply it properly. My first bottle of Aveda oil I bought at an Aveda Salon. This time I bought it on Amazon because it was a wee bit less expensive. I have compared both bottles - they smell the same and when I apply the one I bought on Amazon it does the same thing as my original bottle from Aveda. I don't know why a reviewer said they weren't the same - mine is the same as Aveda. I certainly recommend this product wherever you buy it.

This product delivers on it's promises. I have very dry curly hair and nothing seems to tame it like Aveda Dry Remedy. It is pricey but you use such a small amount that it lasts a long time even with daily use. If applied correctly it does not make your hair look greasy, it just tames the frizz!

I have very fine long straight hair. This is the only hair oil I can use that doesn't make it look oily and greasy. It is expensive but a bottle lasts me almost an entire year as I only need a couple of drops. I rub my hands together and they put my hands through my hair and focus on the middle and ends. Hair looks so healthy and i rarely get split ends.
