Rubies at Party City Jurassic World: Dinosaur Inflatable Costume for Adults

This is one of those things that really is a MUST have items. I, a 44 year old stay at home wife and mom …’had’ to have a T-Rex costume. Package arrives and 15 minutes later, there I was, entertaining myself in our culdesac belly laughing with images of what I looked like walk as I felt the costume moving about my rhythm. It was not the roar of a T-Rex - but the roar of my laughter. Getting into the new fun fat suit was a liberating experience in itself. I am now confident I can do yoga and play limbo no problem! So how does this thing stay inflated? Well let me tell ya. It is the costume version of a "sauna". From the moment, and I am being literal... the MOMENT you zip up, you are the rock that is steamed up! No concern of suffocation, there is constant outside air coming in to keep you puffy. I have dropped 10 pounds in three days! (pfffft, that’s not true) Be sure you and whoever else enters the suit - have fresh deodorant, breath mint, gum.... Many reviews have talked about the heat produced. I took small ice packs and each pocket had on, I even had one in the top of my shirt. I remained cool and comfortable and was able to have some awesome city fun! (pictures attached) Product durability - everything seals up great! material is tough. (I decided to steam the material and I have to say this was a huge PLUS as the suit inflates so much better and the plastic to look through was easier to see through. Be careful on the plastic even with steam, it can melt) Product Cost - EXCELLENT (it was a gift lol) no really, the price is awesome!! This is truly a great buy with endless options to entertain myself, er I mean others. Product design and dimensions advertised - PERFECT (I am a decent size gal. 5'7 wearing between a 16-18 for pants, 1X for shirt. I got the M adult and it fits great. Product Packaging & Delivery - the plastic package was pretty loose and not taped or fastened however it came in a box with air bubbles and there was no damage. It arrived 4 hours earlier than estimated. YAH ME!!

I have just tried it on inside so far but seems great. When zipped up before turning on the pump, it seems like it might be claustrophobic but it isn’t at all when you use the pump. FYI the pump is just this little lightweight square with a plastic belt clip connected to it, so it’s pretty easy to clip onto something you’re wearing. Once you zip up and then turn on the pump, it takes maybe 1-2 minutes if that (maybe less than a minute) to fill up. I’m 5’9” and I can put my head at either of the two areas with the clear plastic in order to look out (both around the dinosaur’s neck area). The head and mouth of the dinosaur are above my head completely so it’s nice and airy in there when the pump is going, and it’s even cool inside the dinosaur with the air going. Disclaimer - I haven’t run around in it so I don’t know if that will hold up. The dinosaur arms are pretty short but I think that’s the nature of the t-Rex - it seems like it’d be risky to try to pull your hands/arms up over your shoulders because I just don’t think there’s enough fabric there to allow that without possibly ripping the costume. The dinosaur legs came basically all the way down to my feet. There are holes in the feet, so the costume cinches around your ankles like cinched sweatpants would, and then the dinosaur feet basically overlay your shoes (the dinosaur feet are big enough that they completely cover your shoes so you really wouldn’t see what shoes someone had on). Your shoes then are completely outside of the costume, but everything else is in the costume except your hands and maybe a little part of your wrists/arms, but the costume comes with gloves for your hands. It’s a hilarious and awesome looking costume. I think someone 6’ or so would still probably be able to see through the top of the 2 areas with the clear plastic. Anything higher, you might still be able to fit in the open, airy head part of the dinosaur, but you’d have to scrunch to be able to look out of the plastic I think.

I was somewhat concerned by some other reviews describing a fragile or defective product, but this one seemed to get decent reviews overall so I took the chance. I bought it primarily to wear as a complete surprise to my neighbors on Halloween. I ran, walked, dragged through shrubs and small tree branches, had my tail pulled, and put over a mile on concrete / asphalt on this suit and it held up very well. The appearance was good and the inflation worked as expected. PRO: Well worth it! I putthe costume on and took it off multiple times with zero issues. The zipper worked perfectly, the ankle and wrist elastic is tight and the blower works really well. The costume is light and has nice color / appearance. I doubt this is a "rip-stop" type of material, but it does have a feeling of durability of the costume fabric (some sort of woven plastic I guess?). I scrubbed my "Dino head" through multiple trees where they hung low over the sidewalk, with no damage. Tough product! CON: Maybe I went out too strong and got too hot / sweaty, but the clear panels fogged up repeatedly and stubbornly so that I had to wipe them down all the time. I ended up carrying a paper towel in one "claw" and then occasionally pulling that hand inside the costume to wipe the inside of the panel. While doing this, I'd just bunch up and seal the now-open armhole with my other hand, then re-extend my hand. This is another example of the durability of the product, as this takes some amount of force to push through the strong wrist elastic. The other issue is that there are two vision panels - one in the neck and the other in the bottom of the lower jaw. Between them is a seam. If you're running a lot and around 6' tall, this seam will kinda rub on your face / forehead. I ended up biting the seam and hanging on to keep it off my face. Again - fairly tough product to easily survive this. The tail drags the ground. I probably ran around for at least a mile on the sidewalk and in the street with no visible wear. Also, I had a couple kids grab my tail and hang on when I was running through yards, and since I didn't know it I just kept going and they were pulled over. Again, no damage to the costume.

This costume definitely gets 5 stars for the fun factor. The reason I knocked it down one start is because it does feel a bit fragile. The vinyl fabric material is stitched together and it did separate in a couple spots. I used some Gorilla Glue to patch it. Other than that it worked great and is the best 50 bucks I spent in a while. Was a huge hit while trick or treating with the kids around the neighborhood. Now just some things that should be fairly obvious, but figured I'd point out for those who might not think about it. You are wearing a vinyl suit. It's built exactly the same as the large holiday inflatables you decorate your yard with. Because it needs to inflate with the built in fan, it needs to be pretty well sealed. So it gets HOT in there, especially if you are moving around with any effort. It was rainy and around 70 degrees and after an hour of walking around I was completely drenched and dripping with sweat. Not only that, but the windows were all fogged up so I could barely see after about the first 15 minutes. Combine that with walking around in the dark and all I could see was shadows. It was actually quite dangerous if you think about it. Luckily I was out with family and could ask for assistance when needed. But this made it really difficult to interact with the rest of the trick or treaters. Wearing this costume was a blast and totally worth it, but just know that after about 15-20 minutes, the fun factor starts to diminish due to the heat and possible visibility issues.

Fun! Bought 2 and we welcomed the troops returning from deployment and everyone had a blast. They fit well, easy to put on and inflate, just all around fun. They seem to be quite durable and can fit a wide variety of sizes. My son, 275# 6'2" was able to fit in it and wrestle with his nephew, with no ill effects to the suit. Material is strong and the zipper is fine. I think if anything ever did go wrong with the suit, it would be a very easy fix. These things seem to be built to last.

My son says this is the best costume ever! He had so much fun wearing it at Halloween he even wears it to let the dog out! The material is thin and breathable. The quality of detail on the costume is great.

This inflatable dinosaur costume is awesome! I absolutely love it! Our whole family has had fun, chasing each other around in it, dancing, surprising delivery people, and lots of other silly stuff. The fed ex delivery guy had a good laugh and said it made his day when a T-Rex opened the door. He said he’s seen a lot of strange stuff while making deliveries, but it was the first time he’s ever delivered a package to a dinosaur. It’s hard not to have fun wearing this costume. It fit everyone from my daughter who is 5’2” tall to my husband who is 6’ tall. There were only a few features that I wasn’t crazy about, but they were definitely out numbered by the positive features and sheer fun of the costume. The arms are short and they are at an awkward height, but that’s just T-Rex anatomy. The “mittens” fit well and when tucked into the elastic on the end of the sleeves, they stayed on well. I found the costume surprisingly comfortable and easy to move around in once I got used to the arms. The fan is kind of loud but it inflates the costume quickly and keeps it inflated well. Having someone hold the head up while it is inflating until there is enough air for it to stand on its own helps . There is good airflow inside the costume once it is inflated. It can however get a little warm inside after a while if you are really active, especially running around outside in the summer. I really like the fact that there is a clip on the fan so you can clip it to the waist of your pants. It’s a little awkward if you aren’t wearing actually wearing pants (due to the heat in the summer) or if pants have an elastic waist. On those occasions, wearing a standard belt (regardless of the pants situation) worked. The costume has held up well . The material is lightweight, but feels durable like parachute material. The clear window is easy to see out of although the range of peripheral vision is very limited. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would buy another if for some reason we ever have a need for more than one T-Rex.

So first, we got it and of course the kids wanted to try it on immediately! The costume is for our 9 year old daughter for Halloween, so I got her in it, aired it up and yep it is TOTALLY AWESOME! The arm holes are a bit small, even for a 9 year old, they are on the tighter side, the arms are supposed to be short of course, like on a T-Rex, but how the costume fits pulls them up towards the elbow and since they are so tight, it can get quite uncomfortable or you need to adjust them frequently. The glove's wrist is also on the tighter side, especially for an adult-sized person. Now, if you have stuck with me this far - this is where the fun really begins! So, after our daughter had fun in the costume for a bit, our son wanted to try it on... and this happened... the zipper jammed! I mean, it was S.T.U.C.K! My 18 year old son and I tried for an hour to get it off - we tried bar soap, we tried pencil, we tried liquid soap! The zipper would NOT budge! As much fun as the costume is, it becomes not-so-fun for a 9 year old who is now worried she is going to be a T-Rex forever! I didn't want to rip the costume, and before we contemplated dissecting the poor kid out of it, we waited for her Dad to get home from work (about 30 minutes later). With the help of his trusty leathermans, which actually did not directly influence the release of the zipper, and after a few well-placed cuss words (probably had more affect than the leatherman), the zipper miraculously came unstuck - viola!... no cause for it sticking was found. The 9 year old was grateful to be able to extract herself from the costume and the 18 year old gleefully gave it a try - with caution of course, we didn't zip it all the way up! I am hoping that whip-stitching the top of the zipper will prevent further episodes of involuntary T-Rex confinement-syndrome.

I love this. I love this. I love this. I originally bought this dinosaur suit as a joke for a close friend’s birthday. I hosted a themed party for her, and as part of the surprise, I had another friend put on the suit and ring her doorbell. Even though you can see the person’s sneakers, the rest of the costume covers well enough that no one could tell who was inside. The dinosaur then "escorted" the birthday girl to her party venue—about 10 minutes away on foot. Along the way, kids kept running up to interact and take selfies. It became an unexpected mini-parade. Once we got to the party, the dinosaur really became part of the entertainment. My friend danced in the suit for a good chunk of the evening and said it was surprisingly comfortable and lightweight, though it did get a bit warm inside after a while. The suit is battery operated with a fan inside that helps to extend the costume's height. At the end of the night, I gifted the dinosaur costume to the birthday girl. She spent the last hour jumping out from behind trees and playfully startling people walking past the venue. It had everyone laughing. Totally worth it for the fun and the memories.

Bought for 11 year old. It fits now with room to grow. Great product although time will tell how long the battery operated fab will last.

Bought this as a joke to surprise some friends kids. I'm 5'5" with a smaller build and it fits fine. I could see anyone up to 6'0" - 6'2" probably with a slighter build being able to fit into this costume. We even stuffed a 9 year old in there and she could mostly see through the vinyl sight panels. Broad shoulders may be a bit of a hassle. Getting into it is awkward for anyone. My only beef with the suit is the plastic zipper. It popped off once and I had to make some modifications to make it zip up again. A little duct tape and a ton of patience paid off. Hasn't done it since. Even with the fan instantly running, it gets pretty hot. Be sure to pack extra double A batteries too. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it for what I paid. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Mido 1.73 mts, Me quedó exacto la parte de la visera para poder ver, uso las mangas para levantar el traje conforme camino. Puede quedar con personas mas altas pero tendrian que encorbarse un poco. El cierre en el pecho se ve muy fragil, necesitan que alguien más lo cierre para ponerselo y que lo abra para quitarselo, con calma y mucho cuidado. Recomiendo usarlo antes de tu evento para que sientas el esfuerzo y el calor que tendras que enfrentar. Aqui lo estaba probando aprovechando que los niños estaban en la escuela, ya estamos listos para halloween. Puse atencion a otras fotos y el ventilador de mi traje esta justo arriba del hombro del dino, lo cual se agradece bastante ya que llega un poco de aire fresco en la parte de la cara. (Veo que otros lo tienen mas abajo en las piernas) Como veran en el video, a mi y a mi esposa nos gustó mucho, lo recomiendo!!
